  1. That's interesting. In the 1980s we had a "Pollard friendly Ford" dealership in Lubbock, TX
  2. Id like for KW or Peterbuilt to make a truck. a serious light duty truck, not that rV hauler thing otu there that DOES look kick as but is still way out of my price range
  3. Look in your BIOS settings, there is usually an auto detect setting you can try. It may need you to tell it it has a new hard drive

    diesel ?

who made the engines for these things? Thats a rare find indeed. Id LOVE one.
  7. I really have a dislike for the quick disconnects used on these lines. (theres one on the heater hose connection on my 454 vortec also, really, the heater hose?) Sometimes i have to get a small flat blade driver to pry the clips into place. That may not tbe the right way but once they are in theres no leaks. Make sure you have the brown o rings, not regular black ones. there are specific fuel o rings.
  8. I did that once to make a beach buggy. Fun huh?
  9. your Jeep budget :) Because itll never stop after that. You might not have to change much but 3 inches is really a border for having to change items. You will really want longer brake lines, But other than that and what the kit should come with you may be okay. The kit should at least come with the needed things but look for some new LCAs and a trac bar relocater bracket because it needs to be relocated at the axle end. The rear brake proportioning valve lever will need to be modified too. search for that on here , ive seen it posted a few times. I can't think of much else but I'm sure someone else will chime in.
  10. I think your Q has been answered correctly. To check for sure, get your hands on a multimeter. Measure the alt output on the alternator with respect to the neg side of the battery. hand-rev the motor. thatll tell you if its the gauge or the alt. I'm willing to put my momney on the alternator though and I'm not sure its cost effective to find a rebuild kit. if its the regulator i don't think a common person can fix it anyway. Thats not brushes and stators, its diodes and other components. finding those components requires other searching and its just easier to take it to A/Z and trade it in as a core for a new one.
  11. I don't think there are any "aftermarket" gauge clusters. Ive done the swap on three vehicles thus far and the gauges all came from Ebay. generally they go for around $30.00 Either you get the cluster with the speedo, gas gauge, and idiot lights or speedo, tach, and gauges for all the others. Not sure there are any other configs. Its a direct swap in the dash but youll need a different temp sending unit for the gauge and oil pressure sending unit. I suppose there might be another setup out there but I'm pretty sure thats it. Worth noting, the full gauge cluster from an Xj works fine unless its an auto, then youll lose the P R N D 2 1 selector.
  12. hahaha uhhhh how bout no. if ya wanna bring it by, for a case of beer, we can do whatever ya want :)
  13. Hey ive owned this MJ for about a year and a half but the first year, it sat with a blown motor. Now with a freshly rebuilt 4.0, a header, brand new exhaust, bunch of little mods, rebuilt interior to eliminate the bench seat and got a steering wheel i liked much better. Built a bumper with some help from my brother, and lookin for a paintjob next. NOT my DD so its all for fun! Ive owned 3 XJs in the past, my first Manche' and i love it. My Harley fits in the back, excellent. Hopefully i can bring some experience and also learn from others who know more than i at the same time. Pics on the way! Thats what i have right now. Sure do love this lil truck.
