lol... i disagree... maybe 6k a year into the whole truck but not just the motor... heck rebuilt from chevy, autozone, whatever... there half that... ive seen plenty with a half a mil on the odo... i like them for a reliable pulling or DD motor just not good turned up for drag racing or something...

ive got a built cummins and I'm currently working on a 6.2 for my XJ... so i know alittle about them... BUT really need alittle more information... the 6.5 is more computerised then the 6.2 and this could mean alot more different parts that it could be... there is a problem with something on top of the motor but i can't remember what it was... whatever it was gets hot real easily... they make a kit to move it so it gets better air flow... think it has somethin to do with controllin the injectors... anyways... if it was the injector pump it woudnt start at all... because a diesel needs the proper pressure in order to run... it could be that even though the turbo was bad it could have been still spinning allowing air flow... and now its locked up causing nothing but a wall... will it start... run 20 seconds... cut off and then it be able to instantly start right back up again and run for 20 seconds again? or do you have to prime the system by bumping the starter again? again I'm just starting messing with the 6.2's and there is nothin to them... and i know alot about the cummins cause mines always broke down... lol... and 6.5's and 6.2's ARE NOT junk... people call them junk because they don't get the power the newer diesels get... but they last just as long and are cheaper to fix when they do break... the may not push 600HP easily but they feel like the same amount of power whether pulling a load or not...

PS... glass, hood, cab, grill all good... the bed doesnt even have the clear coat peeling off... hood does though... gas tanks in it... someone stole the cat... tires hold are but bout done... and i will only sell it to you for that price like this... otherwise ill get it running and sell it for lots more... i can even line you up two fenders and a door if you want... got a jeep JY down here with 2 comanches and about 20 XJ's... local JY has 1 MJ and like 20 XJ's... so there a dime a dozen...

oh i know... i got it... they got my money... my diesels in the shop or i would have brung the trailer today... lol... ill get everything swapped over and you can have the MJ for what i paid for when you come down :dunno:

she called me finally... still had it so i drove an hour to go see it right fast... its got the SOA and a 3in spacer in the front... which kinda sucks... but the SOA is on a 3.55 geared axle which is good for my 5 speed I6... thats what sold me on it... they said you can put fuel in the TB and it will run... so needs a TB rebuilt/ or carb whatever it is... or just a fuel pump to run... body is rust free except for the tailgate... its shot... both fenders and driver door are dented up so no good... but the pass door is good and i need it... the bed is near perfect... no rust except around the holes where a toolbox used to be... two door dings on the driver side and thats it... has the plastic bed liner that says comanche on it that i may keep... lol... all black interior that other then the seat is mint condition which will go good on my soon to be red MJ... ill probly get what i want off it... swap my stuff on it so it at least has something... and sell it... maybe get it running and sell it... depends on what it will take... left money down on it and hope i can get up there this weekend to get it!! you buddy in loganville willing to come get it for you? lol...

MO is along ways away... although I'm going to Kansas City , KS in Oct... lol... all i really want is the pass door and fender if there any good and the lift or SOA... thats kinda what i was thinking it looked like had been done also... need a tailgate and maybe taillights... but other then that the rest is no good to me... looks like the drivers door is no good in the pics... rear bumper looks good though but i want a steel one anyways... i would just swap my suspension for this one so it would still be rollable and saveable if someone else was in a state that could deal with the title issue... lol... she took forever to email me back last time too so we will see if its still around... i know a guy on cherokeeforum i was talking to found it and was trying to get it so i dunno what happened with that...

picked it up the night before last... my plans are a 97+ XJ grill 4x4 conversions since its got a bad tranny anyways... may as well right? and make it red as can be and drop the purple... lol... i want to DD/mall crawl this one... 33's... bullet hole wheels... full paint and body work... dress it up and of course some kind of sterio... did i mention drop the purple? it originaly was the grey but I'm a big fan of a big red MJ so thats what i want... its got the inline 6... renix of course... its a 89... 5 speed... had the BA-10 but I'm going with a AX-15... ive been eyeballing one from a 91 XJ in the JY for a minute... sucks too cause ive been selling the drivetrain from my 89 XJ which the first to go was the BA-10 and it was fine... could have had my MJ running by the end of the week... oh well... maybe someone will trade me the 96HO motor for a transmission/transfer case... lol...
