Are they compatible with cherokee's?

It was about a quater inch away so I tighten up the cable and ziptied it to the stop just to be certain. I got to spend the rest of the night with the wife and kids so no time for a test drive let you know tomorrow thanks.

Heat Vacuum Actuator
specialkeay replied to CaffeineTripp's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Mine looks differnt than his I guess, I have an 89, 4.0. I have elimenated the heater core actuator but my coolant lines run differnt then his, both mine run from the thermostat area, and one from the thermostat. And were mine enters the heater core is a three way were one line goes to the overflow resivior. :help: I'm just desperate for heat I've open up another post on it if you have anything for me. -
So I have elimenated the heat vacuum actuator, flushed the heater core (no obstructions) and changed the theromostat and still have not had any change with my heat situation. It blow room tempeture air and on these cold days its just useless. Is there somting that I have missed :fs1: 89, 4.0

Heat Vacuum Actuator

So just to double check you have complety elimenated the over flow resvior. And also do you need to plug that vacuum hose that went to the heater valve? -
If your going threw the trouble to take out the key cylinder then you might as well get another set from a junk yard of a cherokee, its going to be cheaper with a touch more labor but worth it. I did mine last week, I took the lock cylinders from a 96 cherokee and put them in my 89 MJ (make sure you get a jeep with the keys in it). Nothing wrong with have two keys for my MJ now I can finally lock it.

Does any one know were I can get and E-bake tentioner. Mines rusted but the cable still works fine?

Does any know what fuel sending units are compatible with an 89 4.0 comanche.

How do I bleed the air on a closed system radiator. I have an 89 4.0.
-
sorry its a 1989, 4.0.
-
So I have a closed system radiator and my comanche is running cold. I changed the thermostat and nothing. The radiator lines arent pressurerized and I can take the cap off the coolant bottle and barley any pressure leaks out after its has been running for a while. , well its not like it used to be. So I fear thats its not building pressure in the system and that it could be a head gasket or a warpped head. The exhaust doesnt have any white in it though. I am going to change the thermostat again today just because its cheap and easy, and it will conferm its not that for sure. If any one has any theries please help, I live in New Hampshire and its getting cold.

So is all I half to do is swap the radiator and the overflow bottle and thats it. Or is there a little more to it?
-
How does it help. Thats diffrent from the system I have now (aside from it leaking)
-
My radiator in my 89 Comanche is leaking and I have a 96 cherokee for a parts car(both have 4.0). Will there be any problems putting in the 96 radiator. I notice that the 89 has a pressurized overflow tank and the 96 does not. Do I want to change the overflow tanks as well?

Is touch n "foam a good idea" or a bad idea?
-
It's not that when the heat is on it blows cold air. When it's on cold its fine, but when the heat is on it doesn't blow at all, hot or cold, but you can still hear the fan working. Makes me think that the tubes in the core aren't clogged but maybe the fins are clogged externally by some foreign substance e.i. mouse nest. Wich is possible because I have found quite a few mouse nest.

:fs1: I have an 89 4.0. I have a problem with the heat not wanting to work, but the cold blows nice.Any theories?
