The pump is very loud, and yes, i recently re-finished my tail-light lenses and added an additional ground wire to the drivers rear ground as you suggested. I was hoping it would help, but it made no difference in the loudness of the pump.
I looked at pics of the area where the ballast resistor is located, and my truck has 3 wires going to the grounding bolt there. 2 of them come out of the main wiring harness. If i am going to add a new resistor should i wire it in close to the fuel pump by the gas tank, and if so, how do i go about doing that?
The fuel ballast resistor on my 87 has been deleted, and my fuel pump runs loudly all the time. My question is where are the wires that i need to find in order to put a resistor back in and quiet the fuel pump?I bought 2 new ballast resistors so i will have a spare, in case i have a problem. Thanks in advance for your advice.
I had issues with lights and blinkers and after replacing my right front parking light socket, my blinker "fuse/module" and parking lights fuse thought i had it figured out, but i still have an issue and i'm stumped. Everything is working, except when i turn on my right blinker ALL of my blinkers And my license plate lights blink. Any ideas would be entertained and appreciated. Thanks
My passenger door was "popping" and I noticed the "pin" in the part that holds the door open had been replaced with a bolt. When I replaced the bolt with the proper pin, it fixed it.
Mine still has the full skid plate package and the tow hook brackets, but the hooks are gone. I guess i'll have to find some. Thank you so much for the info.
I got to spend all day with Pete "Junkin" at a couple of yards in south Ga. this week. We had a great time, and he not only found an opening vent window to replace my worn out drivers side one, he also taught me how to remove and install it. Thanks Pete, glad you made it home O.K.
Thanks for the response, my decode also says I have the cluster with tach, but I do not, PO put an old school mini Sun tach on the steering column, and it is so 70-80's style that I decided not to replace the cluster.
