  1. Hey guys, I have a 2004 dodge Dakota quad cab, V6 5 speed 4x4 that I am willing to part with for a comanche if anyone is willing to trade. I’m located in Richmond Va. it has 207,000 miles, a CEL for an O2 sensor, pretty common on these. Drop in bedliner and a little rust around the wheel wells. But the interior is nice. 4 brand new tires and just passed VA inspection. I would really prefer a trade plus cash on buyers end, I’m not looking for anything crazy fancy comanche-wise but would prefer a 4.0. If you’re interested let me know what you got. Also willing to sell the Dakota for 4,000 cash.
  2. Jeep sold, stupid app won’t let me delete. Thanks everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Located in Richmond, VA, sorry!
  4. I have a 92 Cherokee that I would be interested in trading for the right Comanche. The XJ is 4.0, 4wd, auto. 184,500 miles. Power windows, locks, cruise control all work. Interior is decent besides headliner starting to go. Original working radio with cassette deck. Ac needs recharged but is functional. I have the inner front fender wells but haven’t installed them yet. Fog lights have to be hooked up but I have everything for them. Runs a little hot but I think it’s just the electric fan that’s not engaging. Looking for an MJ with 4.0, would prefer manual but ok with auto. Must be 4wd. Would sell for cash $3900, but really looking for a trade.

  6. Hey guys, I salvaged a bunch of parts from a long gone MJ, these being a couple of them. I had never seen them before so I was wondering if anyone in the group had some more info on them, if they came from the factory or aftermarket, and general value. I plan on keeping them for my next MJ when I find one, just wanna know more about this part. Thanks!
  7. Thanks! I’ll feel better about it once I get it running. Haha
  8. Cleaned up the interior today. It’s in great shape for 30 years old! Also have the build sheet (Vehicle production broadcast it says) so that’s pretty neat!
  9. Well the more I get into it the more rust I see (and I’m still on the outside of things!). I think this one once I get it running will be a fun daily for a while until I can find a cleaner frame and body. The interior of this one is pretty decent actually. Looks like it was fairly untouched under the hood and in the cab by previous owners. First challenge is the no start. Rolling through cruisers tips as well as part diagnostics. Not getting any fuel pressure, and not getting any fuel to the filter even. But the pump is making the start up sound so I’m wondering if the pump is just bad. Too hot to work on it this weekend though.

  11. Picked this up today. Doesn’t run yet, pretty rusty all over. But it’s the 4.0 with auto transmission and 4x4 shortbed. Needs lots of love but I have been missing my 86 2.5 longbed since I sold it and I have been holding out for a 4.0 4x4. So excited to get rolling!
  12. 86 2.5L. I seem to have some kind of oil leak but can’t pinpoint where it’s coming from(I haven’t looked too far into it) Where are some common areas that this would happen from?
  13. Just got permission from the boss (fiancée but we all know what it means) to get a parts Jeep! Stripped what I could from the 89 I had when I got this 86 and I agreed to get rid of it. So now I’m going to hunt down a 4.0 to do a swap. I’ve never liked the 2.5 between this truck and the wrangler I had. I’ve had two 4.0 cherokees and damn did they boogie. Leaving on a mission trip to Liberia tomorrow, but when I get back it’s Craigslist/marketplace/forum shopping time!
  14. Little facelift today for Blue. Changed grill and headlight bezels to chrome.
  15. I’m definitely down for a couple
  16. Thanks man! Started pulling up carpet today and found some rust so it looks like I’ll be doing a little more here than I originally planned.
  17. looking at redoing the interior. Just took the dash out to see how everything is and maybe clean up the wiring a bit. PO said mice got in there a little bit, I also found some hornets nest tunnels. So cleaning it up, redoing the heater core, and looking to swap the interior. The seats are in amazing condition though so I’m torn. Everything else is very sun damaged and cracking. Been terrible weather lately so I haven’t been updating much. Oddly excited about getting this deep into the truck, I haven’t really done too much last this point before. Here’s to new things!
  18. added a grille guard, tool box, and blue LEDs in the dash. Taking a break from the upgrades for the holiday season til the fun money returns.
  19. Norfolk. Family around there, they were fine. Barely got touched.
  20. Mine don’t dim. I don’t know of any LEDs this size that can be dimmed. You’d think there would be some out there though.
  21. That particular part of the title is meant for the cases with 5 digits and it cracks 100k. There is typically another section that you mark whether it is actual mileage or not. That’s the point where if you’ve previously zeroed it and mark actual that you are in legal trouble.
  22. I have. Worked out well.
  23. Thanks guys, I’ll get to that first thing tomorrow
  24. I’ve been planning on rolling through those when I have time, even have it bookmarked, but was hoping maybe there was something I wasn’t thinking of or heard of yet that might contribute to this issue.
