thanks guys good thing i didnt buy an ax5 before i found this out

i mean I'm no expert so idk how would i find out what kind of trans i have without taking it to a shop

well i was told it has an ax5 and i looked at it and called around at some trans shops they say its an ax5 so yeah

hey guys i ned a new transmission and i was wondering on what i could do cause i can't find an AX5 or if someone could help me find one i have an 87 comanche 2wd with a 4.0, straight 6, 5 speed and idk what to ask junkyards for if i could ask for a cherokee trans for years before a 97 or what but remember i live in carleton, MI near monroe, MI and i need the cheapest way possible to fix it

i have an 87 comanche and I'm thinking about scraping it but if anyone wanta to buy it let me know. anyways it has a 4.0 high output engine and the guy who sold it to me was a dealer and said the engine is worth lik $900 but I'm not for sure if you guys could help me with the engine price cause i can't figure it out

i think I'm gonna go with the 231 because i can switch from 2wd to 4hi and 4lo and not the 242 cause its all wheel drive

dude i kept the old MJ seats in my truck and i like them but i mean to each his own right lol

mine does the same thing i just wait a couple of seconds and then it goes away i don't worry about it ill get around to it

how much would this cost and what would i have to do. i want the cheapest way possible, but not junk parts and stuff.

i can't seem to get this right while driving a stick its just 1st gear when i take off when i stop i either stall or i peel out idk what to do i can't get this right and it don't help when your dad is yelling at you while you are driving it.

i did that but idk there are toggle switches below the steering wheel for the front fog lights or whatever lol besides the main lights in the front and they work but i turned all the lights on and they don't work i also have another toggle switch down there that idk what it is for

yeah the high beams work but the dims don't

my low beam lights on my comanche don't work we switched out the headlights but they still don't work someone said it could be a relay but i don't think so.

whats up my name is matt i just recently bought a 1987 jeep comanche 4.0 with a straight 6 and its got a 5 speed manual trans but i live in carelton and so far i love the jeep and i havent really done anything to it yet cause i just bought it today like i said but i changed the air filter and had to put in some oil and some rislone in it but other than that it needs a few other little thigs ill post some pictures of it later and the work I'm gonna do to it
