Thanks, Junkie.. will do that for sure!! I don't want to learn the hard ways , had enough of that myself! Thats a dang good deal on the 4.0 xj that year if not a rust bucket and beat to hell!!! I will be pulling the rear end anyhow and putting a 8.8 i have in it most likley.

Hey Junkie, I'm not sure the stripes are for me but maybe i will change it up a little and they might settle with me.. The xj is a 2.5 ...auto...8.25 29spline rear.. 2wheel drive... I'm going to put a rubicon 5.5 lift on it and 33s... with 488s ..etc and convert 4x4... I'm not sure what all elase but time will tell!! I was stoked to get it for that price ...complete ..body and interior is pretty dang good shape ..no rust notta.2 door xj 97-01 is tough to find around here and in Great shape at that.

My new Jeep to add to lot.. I bought it for 540 bcks! With motor and all.. no dents hardly or rust!! Not a Comanche but a 2000 XJ 2door!!!

great but I'm not sure if cherokee is the same ive heard theres a difference but if its cheap enough i might concider i just no the top of the comanche roof is higher than the cherokee and the part number for the comanche is 19040 as were the cherokee is 19030 so ???thx

thx guys!! :cheers: to you !! Its raptor underneath bed and inside cab,, not on outside that is Xstreme Liner and its a pain to spray also but its pretty durable and raptor is about the same price!! I think either one is good tho as ive sprayed other stuff with them both but raptor is much finer texture then Xsteme even when theres no additives!!I like it and I'm a sucker for black!!!

well that makes sense...i just assummed that a 20yr old + seal since its there in the prox would be a good idea to change but i guess ???so far since change seams to not be leaking...will see...hey if anyone can give me a idea on how hard of a job it is???or just tinkerouse maybe doing the axles??

axle seals leaking,i just had my axle 2months ago regeared and yukon installed up front on the dana 30 and guess what they didnt put new seals in the axle tubes when they did it????is this a common practice????i would hope not as i paid them $340 to regear just in labor and now $254 with seals included and fluid to replace them!!! man I'm bummed but its supposely fixed and i have never done axles but it seems like a no brainer to do all seals when u pull gears!!ive fixed alot of crap being maint...and u don't put something new in without new seals period.... :mad:
