  1. The volt meter isn't picking up a reading. None of the engine side pins are showing a reading.
  2. I just tried supplying the bottom of pin 30 on the fuel pump relay 12 volts from a jumper off of the + batt (relay plugged in and ignition on) and was unable to get the fuel pump to turn on. As soon as I touched the + batt jumper to pin 87 the fuel pump turned on. ** Any idea why giving 12v of power to pin 30 on the fuel pump relay wouldn't trigger the pump on?
  3. Thanks for the clarification. How many volts should the red wires have with ignition on? 12v?
  4. I measured the volts at the red wire splice and got a reading of .08 with the ignition on. - what should it be reading? 12volts?   6. I am unable to jump the fuel pump from pin 30 to 87. I can jump the fuel when I go from + batt. to pin 87.
  7. Cruiser I checked the manuel that ohm sent and found connector C101 on page 75. Thanks for giving me the pins to check. I'll check pins 2E and 3E with ignition off and on to check volts. I'll post with numbers. Any idea what could be causing the drop in power to the fuel pump? Wha is a resistor retrofit?
  8. Which wires can I check at the C101 to get a volt reading for my fuel pump?
  9. I measured the volts to the fuel pump with the ignition off and got a reading of 0. Then I took a reading with the ignition on and got a reading of 6.78 volts. Shouldn't the pump get 12 volts from a start?
  10. I just searched around but can't finigure out what a resistor retrofit is.
  11. Put everything back together and she wouldn't start. So I jumped the fuel pump relay and left the pump running while I tried to start her and she fired up and ran until I pulled the jumper. Does that mean my relay is bad? I tried switching them around and had no luck.

  14. When I hooked up the meter it showed a reading. For example on the fuel pump relay C107 D2 and fuel pump relay pin 87: The meter read 5.6 I have the ohms meter set for 200k and I plugged the red wire in C107 D2 and black wire in the fuel pump relay pin 87
  15. Both Batt terminals disconnected and all relays pulled. C107 D2-4 and C216 fuel pump relay: D2-4 and Pin 30: meter didn't jump D2-4 and pin 86: all jumped D2-4 and pin 87: all jumped D2-4 and pin 85: meter didn't jump C107 to C228 oxygen sensor heater relay D2-4 and pin 30: all jumped D2-4 and pin 87: NO CONNECTOR D2-4 and pin 86: all jumped D2-4 and pin 85: #2 and #4 jumped I already heat wrapped splice F. Do you need the data from it. Or is this information good?
  16. What are the yellow wires for?
  17. I found the 5 red wires and they were hanging on by a thread. I kept moving up the harness and found the yellow wires in a similar state, slightly better but not much. I don't have a collector big enough to grab the wires before soldering so I swing by the auto parts store or harbor freight tomorrow. Thanks for the help. Can you think of anything else that might need to be checked?

  19. Thanks for the resource. I cleaned and reinstalled the dipstick ground, 4 relays, connectors near it, and C101 connector. I checked C106 D1-5 and only got a reading on the batt. Pin (5.6 reading). C103 B got a reading of .12. All readings had the ignition on and everything reinstalled.
  20. I'll assume relay is removed. C216_1 should have B+ voltage. Check voltage at C106_D1-5, should have B+ voltage. Check voltage at C103_B (Engine harness side), should have B+ voltage. Pls advise. I'm looking at a relay diagram and can't figure out what the A is the C106 comes out of. Also, I took the relay bracket off and placed the red on the batt + and the ground on C216 from the bottom of the fuel pump relay. It read just under 12 with key on.
  21. Thanks. I'll use electronics cleaner and update later tonight. Do you think I should buy a fuel pressure gauge or clean everything first?
  22. When I went batt power to 87, the fuel pump turned on and I got fuel to the fuel rail. I need to rent/borrow a fuel pressure gauge for the auto parts store to find out how much pressure I a, getting to the rail.
