  1. Sorry guy's, I haven't been on here in awhile, bizzy @ work truckin the products, so I haven't been able to do a compression check yet, I just got done putting a new power steering pump on & thank the good Lord, no leaks. I am going to try running a high performance catch can system, as I do not believe my piston rings are too short as it doesn't smoke @ all. I love this lil truck & want to keep it as long as I can....
  2. I would love to have the valve cover if it is the aluminum cover in good shape, I have an '86, 2.5l 5sp 4x4 & can not find a aluminum valve cover to save my butt, would like response or help on this issue. I leak oil through the oil fill cap because the plastic valve cover oil fill cap does not fit tightly so oil seeps up through the oil fill cap..
  3. Hey guy's, I cannot find an aluminum valve cover for my 1986 Jeep Comanche and was wondering why on the plastic cover, the oil fill cap does not seat tightly like it is supposed to. I was wondering if putting a catch can from blow by would stop the oil from seeping outta the oil fill cap, or can someone give me some info on fixing the oil from coming through my oil cap, or sales on an aluminum cover, all help is needed/viewed, thnx..
  4. thank you for your input Dirty, don't want to spend a whole bunch of $$$$$ on something if it could just be an e z fix, spitting oil from top of valve cover around oil fill cap, maybe a rebuild of top end would be fair

  5. thnx for input Pete, the end goal is to have a long dependable, durable lasting Jeep P/U.  Also would it be easier to just rebuild my 2.5l rather than putting in a straight 6??

blowing oil out of either oil fill cap, pcv, or breather. has new pcv & hose, runs great other than blowing oil, thought maybe rings are goin south

don't get ahead of yourself until you do a compression check and leakdown test.  :L:

mine 4.0 still blows oil like the exxon valdez.  I just run the breather tube into a washer fluid bottle and then another tube out and on to the air filter.  catches all the oil and I don't have to swap anything. :D

  7. it does have 135,000 mi. lol
  8. thank you omega, I also have a new pvc valve but it really runs great other than the oil coming out!!
  9. I was wondering if anybody knows how to fix an oil fill cap on the valve cover top so it doesn't shoot oil out all over the engine?? I have taken an old inner tube from a tractor and cut a lil gap so the cap would go into its slot, but still shooting oil. its a 1986 2.5l
