So what affects would it have on 90 MJ if i took the catalytic converter off and through it away? I know from other vehicles i have owned all it did to them was make for worse gas mileage....

That's what mine looked like when the rear main started leaking.But the valve cover gasket could be it.

Done changed the valae cover gasket and cchecked around the oil filter.

In the 1990 Mj 4.0,5 Speed is the rear main seal a 2 piece or a 1 piece?

Air conditioner pump running without being turned on.Start's runs a little bit then dies.New fuel pump,new regulator,new filter,checked the ground behind the tail light.Runs a little better with the AC unplgged.Try to drive and the resistor gets hot and truck dies????????

Truck keeps burning the ballast resistor :wall: Any ideas of why?

Did away with the resistor run good idleing for awhile but went to drive it and now back to getting no gas????? :(

So it will not hurt anything to hook the wires together and throw the resistor away?

But that's the problem i am having the truck act's like it is running out of gas and when i shut the hood it completely dies.I have pulled the fuel pump and it is good and replaced the filter.I replaced the old ballast resistor cause it was cracked and the guy at autozone said the truck didn't call for one so he picked one off the shelf that looked like the old one.don't think that it was for a jeep.If it was the wrong one could this be causing my problem?

ballast resistor heating up any ideas as of why?

Can not get the electric fan to work...Plugged in direct works fine.....Checked relay that is good but still no fan unless hook up direct...Any ideas?

One small hole on passenger side :( going to cut it out come spring and probably replace the carpet then.
