What would I have to do to a stock MJ to be able to put on newer 17inch wheels? Not wanting to put much of a lift on it.
-
It actually happened about a week ago replaced the coil and run fine for a week but now the problem has come back. It needed a good tune up so I went ahead with the rest of the parts but the problem is still there. No haven't checked the CPS, I guess that is on the list for today.

Bleeding slave and master cylinder

Don't think I can get the rear end that high. Huh? Thought you meant jack the rear end up like that in your pic and pump it 40 times. Cause I have read somewhere when bleeding to raise the rear end up higher and I didn't try that. Nah. Just sit in it and do that. LOL. I will try that then. By the way is that your MJ in your signature? If so what year and model is it and what kind of mods have you did? -

Just installed new clutch kit, slave cylinder, and master cylinder. I have bled the system but still does not feel right. Clutch feels good when not running , but when started it is not so good. Pretty sure I bled it out good, but it is still hard to get in gear sometimes. Noticed the other day that when i was facing downhill it was harder to get in gear. Any help would be appreciated.

So what about the electrical plug on the new tcase where as the old one has vacuum.
-
The speedo is electric and the plug in on the transfercase is electrical. The old hookups to the BA 10 are vacum and a regular speedo cable.
-
OK ax 15 trans cases hookups are all electrical so what now?
-
Don't know the year of the Ax, is the a way to determine this besides doing measurement?
-
I have a 88 MJ with the peogeot trans in it, i also have a AX15 trans with transfer case cross member and driveshafts that came with the truck when I bought it. I think the slave cylinder is starting to go out. So my question is will this be a easy swap to put the AX15 in?

Do you have any of the hats with the green bills left?

Truck and camper come as a combo older style fifth wheel. Looking at switching truck to pull with to a V8 model crew cab Dakota and then I will upgrade the fifth wheel. Then I am looking at painting the MJ back to stock stripes and color and doing some other things I have been wanting to do to it but couldn't because of it being my pulling truck. About 30 miles north of Loiusville, KY

1988 longbed Pioneer and not much off roading but lots of camping in Charlestown,IN

I see you found more pics of my little jewel. As you see they are very few and far between in finding one of those campers

It was MFG by California Coachman out of Santa Ana California 1980 model #25 out of I think about 500 or 600 from what i have read, I think they made some in 81 also. The model is called a Contempo, Quantum 5. Here is a few pics of the camper and the fifth wheel. Sorry couldn't get better of the camper kinda of hard parked in the driveway..... :hmm: have more of the camper if your interested I can post on another day.
-
Here is a pic of the combo in question in this thread. Pic was taken 4th of July weekend so it is still pretty much being used quite often. As far as the truck it is still stock with the exception of tires are larger than stock and added spring stiffeners to the rear. The camper weighs about 2500 lbs with 300 on the fifth wheel. Pulls good once you learn what RPM's to run when changing gears and pulling hills.

Was for sale. But this pic was from after I drove it home to southern Indiana from Denver Colorado. Still used to this day. 175,000 miles stock everything except larger tires and still runs great.
-
Thanks Pete but I am really looking for a Street tire or mild aggresive, this truck is a daily driver and used to pull my camper so mostly road miles.
-
What is the largest width and diameter tire I can get on my 88 Comanche Pioneer long bed with stock lift and stock aluminum spoke wheels without them rubbing the inner fenders?
-
Other than mine, I might know where one is in Indiana.
-
Just a general question. I have a ax 15 transmission, transfer case, cross member and drive shafts that i got with my 88 comanche and not really looking at replacing the one that is in it. Looking at selling it but don't know what it would be worth. Just trying to get a good ballpark figure of what I should ask for it? Thanks Charles

Can't get backup lights to work. Bulbs good, fuses good, any ideas?
