thanks man, yeah i am in central florida. i am willing to spend about 300 bucks getting one to me. i believe i have someone that will meet me just north of atlanta with a bench and a headliner. waiting to see how things pan out on that for now..

No I have not yet. I was hopping to get something stock but can you point me in the dierection of what some people are doing to put them in their mj?

I understand this but since this is a daily I would like to have a shaft made before hand if possible so I can get it done quickly and efficiently And I understand that too. Just saying pick a point close to the end of the project, then measure and submit your order. A good local shop can turn it around in a day. One-half an inch error can make or break the project. Too short you can make it up with a longer slip yoke. Too long and you're screwed unless you have enough extension on the yoke to hack some off. I have to admit I found out the hard way................... Thank you for your advise. I am just getting a little excited and jumping the gun and rushing a tiny bit. My long wait for a good 4x4 ax15 is over and I've got the axle and other parts on the way :) I didn't mean to sound like a smart Alec earlier lol

Did you go with an SYE too. Or the stock slip yoke and shortened stock shaft?I went with stock slip yoke, but the drive shop i used wouldn't shorten then stock double wall shaft with the rubber membrane in it, so I got an XJ shaft lengthened. I've got the short bed 91 eliminator with a 2wd ax15. I will be putting in a 4wd ax15 with a 231. It's from a 93 Cherokee. It should fit fine I'm assuming? My main question though is can I use a Cherokee rear driveshaft or do I need to get one cut to size? Thanks in advance and other tips and recommendation are appreciated for the swap :)

It was the sensor in the thermostat housing telling my ECU I was running all kinds of different Temps and confusing the ECU

That's an odd one. How did you troubleshoot and find that? Finally had the scanner on it while it was acting up. The temp sensor was all over the place every time the truck acted up reading anywhere from negative 3 - 210 degreeS. The cooler the temperature reading the higher the idle.

Found this issue to be the coolant temp sensor!

Ok. So My 91 mj 4.0 5 speed ax15 has got an issue. Basically it's got a high idle. Not all the time. It's only when it feels like it I guesse. Here is the strange part though. When it does have the high idle it's only as the truck is coasting in neutral and moving. It will idle all crazy anywhere from 1500 rpms to 2700 rims. Once the truck comes to a complete stop the idle will drop back downto a normal idle. Then as I take back off it will buck and backfire and spit out black smoke. It will do this as it please. Sometimes it will shut off and be completely flooded out and it will take a while to get it to starthe back up. When it runs fine it runs great though. I have not had a chance to have a scanner on it while it is acting up. When we did have a chance to put a scanner on it the tps and coolant temp sensor seemed to be acting normal. There is obvious black smoke comming out of the exhaust. I had the issue months ago and replaced the exhuast manifold because it was cracked. Drove 1400 miles on a long trip and it started acting up again. It seems electrical because of how it will come and go so sudden. Please help I want my baby to be happy and trusty but she has left me embarrassed in the middle of the road one to many times now. Maybe a computer? Harness? Please help any input will be highly appreciated. I've taken the throttle body apart and have cleaned it really well with no results

Has anyone ever taken a headliner board from an xj and cut it to,fit into their mj? Would this even be possible? It seems like a good idea to me but I figured I would ask first..

Sorry my phone predective text has it all messed up lol. Removed* crossmember and reverse light switch.

I took the drive shaft out, delivered the crossmember and lowered the rear of the trans. After that I put a rod from seat to clutch to hole the clutch down. Remover the reverse light switch and used a flat head and pryed the fork towards the back of the jeep. Heard it click. Put everything back together and she is running good. Now I am changing the trans fluid, oil and valve cover gasket amongst other thing!

I got it to pop out of reverse!!! This forum rocks I can't wait to learn and grow with you all!!

I am this far with the crossmember dropped but cannot seem to get this to budg. Do I need the clutch pushed at the same time? Thanks for any help. I don't really want to pry or push wrong way.
