Awesome! He does want it and this is his address: 3252 Journeys End Ln / Lenoir, NC 28645. Call me, or text (828-514-1485), or leave your address here, so I can, I guess send you a check for the costs. I assume thats the best payment method for you? I couldn't care either way, if you had a box or not. Thanks for your time so far!

Hell yes. If the day comes and you want to rid your bumper, I'll pay for shipping, no problem, and put it back to use.

I recently gave my Dad my project MJ! It was an awesome gift, that he will enjoy forever! However, it is currently without a rear bumper, as I was planning on upgrading one day, but he wants any ol' bumper to fit it for now. It is his daily driver and needs something to put the tag on. We are located in NC; I'm near Raleigh, he is near Boone; paying shipping may be possible, if it's not too expensive. Thanks!

Yep. I overlooked the fact it's a '92. So how were you able to buy a master and slave without the line between? I thought the late model setups came with everything preassembled, filled, and pre-bled. Well, I bought the clutch before I knew that I had this problem. Then thinking that the Master Cylinder was bad I went and bought one of those. So I bought them separate not knowing that I would need both eventually. It'd be nice if I had gotten the whole set up. Where do I buy the hose set up? Just in case the bleeding doesn't work.
-
Nope, the hoses were not changed. They are the old ones from before, and if the problem was around before the transmission swap it just may need new hoses? ---where do I buy new hoses?--- Bleed the hoses/lines again, yes I will mention that to my mechanic on Monday. ---I hope this works--- Those are the two things that yall have came up with. Either the hose/lines are bad or I need to bleed them a few times to fully remove all the air. Alright, now waiting till Monday morning. If yall got anything else please feel free to express it here.

You don't think my mechanic hasn't tried that?
-
I wouldn't know the stall part, because basically it's underivable. And it does change gears very easily when the engine is off.
-
Here's the scoop. I bought the new stuff from Autozone and had a local mechanic install it all. New: Transmission (rebuilt) Clutch Slave Cylinder Clutch Master Cylinder Clutch It actually had this problem before I swapped the transmission. The problem is: Hard to put into gear; it worked fine after everything was installed but within an hour it was hard to put back into gear. It is very hard to put in gear and nearly impossible for reverse. Troubleshooting: The hose seems to shake when I press the clutch in but I don't know if that's the problem. The clutch feels great, it presses down nicely but it doesn't seem to be engaging correctly or something. :huh???: Please send me some ideas to tell me mechanic; besides get a new mechanic. :fs2: fyi: AX15 5-Speed Manual Transmission 1992 Jeep MJ

AX15 4WD shifter bracket for 92 MJ
case5412 replied to case5412's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah, but I'm still using the one I ordered because the MJ I pulled it out of is drivable and in need of very little TLC so I didn't want to use it for parts and now I don't need to :) So they just forgot to send you the bracket? Or it doesn't come with it? -
AX15 4WD shifter bracket for 92 MJ
case5412 replied to case5412's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I pulled a linkage system out of a MJ with a different transmission, but he bracket that bolts it on doesn't seem to link up correctly. Anyway, enough of that; I just want this linkage system I ordered to work so I can take my MJ out wheeling for the first time. It's never been off road before. My transmission is the AX15 5-speed manual and I noticed it's an automatic in the picture which is worrying me a little, also my transfercase is a NP231 J? or something. Oh well, I've got smart friends with a shop and all the MJ addicts here on the forums. -

case5412 replied to case5412's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah I know I could post it in the "wanted", and Cheyenne, I tried car-part.com for Cherokee and Comanche and I had no luck. I'm going to my shop now and asking them if these custom ones you posted will work. Thanks -

AX15 4WD shifter bracket for 92 MJ
case5412 replied to case5412's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Does anyone have one for sale that will work on my MJ? If I can't order a stock one or an aftermarket one then I'll take these instructions to my shop and have them fabricate me one up. I'm sure they understand the linkage set-ups and stuff, so I won't have to be too descriptive on the instructions. I'm very thankful that you all replied to my thread and helped answer the questions I abruptly asked. I never got a link to order one but that may be impossible. Thanks again. Casey -

case5412 replied to case5412's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Awesome, thank you very much; now all I need to do is get home so I can view your picture, because can't view it here at work. But anyway can you give me a name of the "mounting system" or a direct link to order it. I will buy a brand new one if I could find it. But I really just want to order one asap so I can get it finished and driveable. -
AX15 4WD shifter bracket for 92 MJ
case5412 replied to case5412's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm going to post a couple pictures I snapped from my phone of the same bracket on an MJ with what I believe is a Peugeot 5-speed transmission. I think it's only requires one bolt. My friend and I are trying to link up my shifting lever to engage the 4WD with the lever in the truck. We need instructions on where to get the part and if I can't get it I'll need some kind of way around it. This little bitty linkage bracket is becoming frustrating. :wall: :fs1: -

You see that little hole right above (57), that's where the bracket I need goes. I need someone to say something along the lines of "oh I know what that is, order that" or "look there". I've been looking but I don't actually know the name of the part I'm looking for. -

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/transfer-case-shift-linkage-problems-after-t-case-drop-309057/ Would this work? I want to order one today so I can get my truck on the road asap but I'm still not sure and am pretty much alone here. This is a forum talking about the linkage and someone suggests ordering a product, I just wondering if people have tried it and could guide me in the right direction. -
AX15 4WD shifter bracket for 92 MJ
case5412 replied to case5412's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yup, that'l work. Did it to one of my MJs. Took $0 dollars, and a lot of time and effort. Crawl under the truck, check, crawl out, modify/weld, crawl back under, modify/weld............. I would gladly spend money for a stock bracket than to do it again. Suggest car-part.com http://www.car-part.com/index.htm Any linkage set up from any 90 up AX-15 equipped Cherokee will work. If you go this route make sure to get the bracket on the TC and the one on the body. Can you give me the correct part name so I can go ahead and order it. I want to be sure I get the correct part; I'm still a newbie. -

Ok, I would love to do your suggestion and get the complete linkage for the AX-15, if that set includes the parts I'll need to fix my problem. Can you post me a link to order it? I will start looking for what you posted tonight. -
AX15 4WD shifter bracket for 92 MJ
case5412 replied to case5412's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I don't know for sure what my AX15 was in before because I got it out of someones back yard. It's in my truck now and it works great; had no other problems besides this little bracket that connects to the lever that changes from 2 wheel high to 4 wheel high/low. Basically I don't have anything to hold the cables in place. Just what did you "chock" up so I can possibly mimic it. Maybe a picture would help me and if you don't mind, a description would be nice too. This is the last thing keeping me from taking my truck to the trails this week end. -

Ok, it's the "Linkage Bracket" I think. Here's a web page with a list of AX15 transmission parts. http://www.jeep4x4center.com/jeep-transmission-parts/aisin-ax15.htm -
