So, my Transmision died, starting the look for an AX-15. Not sure what to expect, guessing around a Grand just for the tranny. Don't have time or knowledge to install myself either. So any thoughts on my total cost? Things to be aware of? Thanks in advance. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Are you referring to the weather stripping? I got mine from Pick a parts. Well most of it off Cherokees.

I am not expert. But from my experience and things I have learned here, if you spray water on the belt and it quiets then it is the belt. When I changed my housing Coolant got on that belt and it chirp after that. I replaced the belt and tighten good and it went away until recently. I now get a light chirp at times when I first start but it goes away.

I just just bought the seals myself... Just have not gotten the guts to attempt it yet. Let me know how it goes banjobill80. Especially on the CAD side.
-
Ok, so currently I have no shifting problems/issues after replacing the clutch. This was after the old line blew open while driving. I should have thought about that and replaced the line when I did everything else. Since then, I have had no issues in any gear.
-
Thanks! How did you repair the CAD axle seals? Or do you mean replace?
-
I have not gone that deep in research yet. I have a 87 and doing nothing but research right now. No experience with this at all. Thanks!!

Ya, I saw that tool, crazy cost. Yes I have thought about hitting the Pull a part and just get the one piece axle. If I go that route, any other Mod I need??
-
Great, seems like a real Pita getting the new seal installed.

So, in reading up on replacing the seal. Since I have a Posi-loc I most likely need to replace the seal on the CAD. Not the one inside the Dana 30.

Thanks

I noticed recently after doing some work on the truck, that there was some fluid running down the passenger front tire, on the inside. First thought was brake fluid, but don't believe this is the case. Anyone else had this happen? Joint/axle leak? Thanks in Advance.

So I drove the Truck home last night. I experienced the same as Mattwheels has.. !st and 2nd are stiff, 3rd and 4th no issues.. and 5th seems tight.

I will, still waiting, had a delay with the Pilot bearing. The one in the Kit was too large. Hope to be back on the road tomorrow.

Had my Flywheel resurfaced just yesterday, cost me $35.

umm...No, yes the screw turns, but so does the bleeder it is screwed into. That make sense?
-
Update: I attempted to do a gravity bleed, when I turned the bolt by the nozzle, not sure what else to call it, coming from the slave the whole nozzle SEEMS to be turning. This normal, as in the videos I have watched it didn't happen. And to get to it with a wrench is a real PITA, and have to move the tube out some. I am worried I will do more harm than good. I am going to schedule to get the Master and Slave replaced.

I would say it is at least 50% if not 60 or 70%. I look at the line as best as I could, no leaks visible. Going to try and get it Bleed today. Fearing it is the slave going bad.
