  1. Okay that makes sense thanks guys!
  2. So I'm swapping a 92' 4.0 HO in place of my 90' 4.0 with a complete parts vehicle, also swapping to a dakota fuel tank. My question is though, why exactly do I have to splice into the rear of the MJ harness instead of just keep the entire XJ harness? Also I have the link for the write up on how to splice just curious why, Thanks!
  3. I've been trying to locate a working temp/compass computer for a 92' overhead console I'm installing when I swap the engine and wiring harness. Shipping wouldn't be a problem, I'm located in Mckinney, Texas.
  4. sounds good thanks for the help, yeah got a dana 44 back there  and a stroker would be awesome haha
  5. Awesome thanks!
  6. Just for future knowledge I was wondering what gearing you guys would suggest for a 4.0 HO with aw4 and 33's, I'd like to keep the stock highway driving abilities, but still have enough power to off-road with.
  7. Long story short I acquired a 92' xj I plan to swap parts from including the wiring harness into my comanche, it has an over head console. I also found a 98' overhead console in a jy and would rather put that in but I'm wondering if it'll work with my wiring if I take the harness that connects in the passenger side kick panel and connect it to mine? :hmm:
  8. Unfortunately chrome wouldn't work, thanks though! Would you be willing to part with your end caps and air dam? Those may be cheaper to ship and I could probably modify my old bumper metal
  9. Updating the front clip but odly enough can't find a 97+ complete front bumper (end caps, air dam, brackets). I have a bull bar for after market lights just like the look of the bumper and option for fog lights. Any leads or suggestions are welcomed too.
  10. Great thank you!
  11. So I heard you have to post at least 10 times to post in the classifieds, is this still true?
  12. Oh didn't even think about that thanks Pete!
  13. Thanks! I'll just swap it all. If it's got an automatic tranny with 2wd would it still bolt up to my 4wd automatic tranny?
  14. I'm considering purchasing a 1993 cherokee to do a high output swap and for other parts, is it possible to find a new jeep comanche specific wiring harness for a high output engine? Or should I just use the one from the cherokee? I appreciate any suggestions.
  15. Couldn't find one I like so I'm just going to build my own 3.5" lift. Core 4x4 makes adjustable rear shackles so you wouldn't have to do blocks or aal
  16. Yes I've ran it dry a couple times just to see what mileage and tank size I've got. best mpg I've had is 14 and the tank never fills up to 14 gallons. Also, my gas gauge dosn't work, needle sticks right over the letter F haha
  17. Yeah I have no idea why it only fills up to 13 gallons haha but it's not in very good shape so I plan just to replace it all. I've located a 22gallon 1997 tank and pump/sending unit for $75, I'll see if I can find if that will work, I appreciate the help!
  18. Thanks for the help! I'd appreciate it if you had him jump in, if it does turn out to be a headache your idea would work great. Currently I just have a 13 gal fuel tank, which is to small for me.
  19. Hey I'm new to the forum and I'm finally getting somewhere with my build, but need some help. I have a swb 1990 eliminator 4x4 metric ton with auto tranny and 4.0, all stock. However, my fuel tank is old and my fuel pump is going out and I was curious if I could swap a Dakota 22gal tank and what years would work and what all I'd need to complete the swap. I have tried searching but haven't had any luck finding any write ups that explains it outright (my automotive abilities do not include knowledge of this haha) Thanks for your help!
