  2. Been lacking on updates, mainly because there hasn't been much. Less than 2 months until deadline, time to pull it into the barn. 3 link and new track bar ordered, motor is almost done, and trans is being tore down this weekend. Image Not Found
  3. I have one laying around already removed if you don't end up with one from someone else
  4. You definitely do not need 8" of lift for the tire size those axles can handle (I would say 35s max). You can easily run 35s at 4in with alot of trimming or 6.5 and no trimming with proper bumpstops. Anything that high you are definitely going to want to go long arm. I'm running 8.5" coils but I'm planning on running 40s.
  5. The grand Cherokee set up is better than stock and a cheap upgrade. Personally I always run 1 ton tre's and a inverted t set up. A little less steering feel but about as solid as it gets while using ends instead of hiems. Currie is a nice set up too but expensive
  6. Another for the 8.8 , I was very happy with the couple I ran under my tj. The limited slip is definitely worth finding, I ran that and the front locked and found that the rear rarely slips.
  7. You will be fine, you will just be using 4low much more often offroad. I've ran 3.73s in my tj and lj on 35s for a while until I went to 4.88s. I have yet to break anything but u joints on d30 and 35s, no need to upgrade for light wheeling unless you lock it. Steering would be a high priority for me, the stock set up is horrible. Control arms depends on lift hieght not so much tire size (though I have bent stock upper control arms). I haven't had any issues with stock linkages after completely pulling them off, straightening them, and adjusting them properly... But I have heard of issues. This one may work with modification? http://www.boostwerksengineering.com/231-HD-Shift-Linkage-Auto-Trans-_p_25.html
  8. The plans is: 350/ th350/ Ford np205 9in / d44 Sticking with leafs for now Clayton 3 link front 40s if I can get the d44 shaft to survivr Internal 4 point Cage Etc. Hoping to keep it an all purpose rig. I have alot of buddy's that do dirt drags, so it will see that as well as trails and street. Hoping to get some boggers and run schuss mtn 2016. Picked up this thing for $500 last fall. Non running 2.5 and 2wd. Was planning on swapping in a 8.8, hp 30, ax15, and 231 and daily driving it. It sat for a few months and finally this spring I started messing with it. Turns out someone didn't know the firing order and had the wires all mixed up. Fixed it and gave it some ether and it fired right up. Found out quick it has a weak cylinder and pours oil out of every possible seal Still had to take it for a drive Image Not Found I picked up a 9in and HP d44 from a buddy for really cheap in the spring and decided to change the Comanche plans up a bit. Pulled the 44 apart it was full of mud and rust. A couple weeks ago I grabbed another 44 already set up for a jeep off of here. Also collected a th350 that needs a rebuild from elsewhere Last weekend I got the axles sitting in so I could Atleast see where it sits until I can afford the next steps. Being a 20 year old with too many projects means the budget is pretty low Image Not FoundImage Not FoundImage Not Found Pulled the carpet a couple weeks ago and found some nice custom floor windows as expected. Just more stuff to add to the list! Hoping to get the old motor and trans out soon and possibly pull my 350 from a buddy's parts truck soon First post shows how it sits now.
