Behr makes tail lights now for Mopar or made MJ tail lights back then?
-
who dis?

eagleschout526, I am going to try to locate the original mold if it still exists. If you have good pictures that can capture the name and numbers that would be great Some automotive trivia: On August 12, 1908, Ford introduced the model T. No fuel pump, no oil pump, no water pump
-
Anyone have a tail light to check for the manufacturer and numbers? Both the lens and the back part. It is unlikely that Chrysler made the part. There is a chance the mold is buried in a warehouse somewhere of the manufacturer. That name would provide a place to start a search.

Come on guys, does no one have any idea who made tail lights for MJs?
-
Someone has done a killer job on that tail gate and fender. Lines are straight. No warps. No dents. This your handiwork?

Has anyone tried to find the original manufacturer of MJ tail lights? Hopefully, they might still be in business. If the mold could be located there is a chance that a batch of tail lights could be made if the run does not have to be of mammoth proportions. Alternatively, the mold possibly could be purchased if it is not already destroyed. With Pete's money to buy the mold, someone might be able to have a business, albeit a small one. If you could buy a new set of taillights for $250, how many might find that of interest? If not $250, at what price? Have a look at this tail light reproduction on a smaller scale. The video is high quality and the guy obviously knows what he is doing. With the pressure pod and 60psi compressor, his process is available on a smaller scale.

Looking for a mini-console to go in an 87 MJ, 4.0, 5 speed in honey color (darker tan) and clips and plate to secure interior visors. Honey steering wheel and cover also

Pick & Pull said this trick was stripped and scrapped on Aug 3.

Per call to Pick & Pull in Rancho Cordova, this MJ was stripped and scrapped on Aug 3

It would be helpful if the CC would host repair manuals. Especially as the fleet gets older and older. As members die or sell their MJs, those materials might be lost overtime.

Cleared up in 3 minutes. I googled fsn and got Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Long ago while auditing a jet manufacturer, I saw FSN in an engineering review of a Rolls Royce engine in a new jet being built. Expecting a very technical abbreviation, I asked and was told it meant "funny sounding noise"

Where is the list of abbreviations used on CC?

Plug to radio was cut off by prior owner. Will get a Jeep radio. Anyone have a wiring diagram showing color coded wires that went to radio in an 87 MJ, 4.0, 5 speed?

Well, you know what they have to say about humor. If you have to explain it, it must not have been very funny.

Can't be having someone use a pair of broken pliers and a rusty screwdriver. Yes, I did see the tool thread and that is the reason I put the comment in about tools. That thread looks like a contest about who has the best and biggest...err tool.

Thanks. Will give it a try.

You are closest to Springfield? (You have a good set of tools? ) There are several XJs in that area. Maybe one has the honey interior that I am looking for. My search of MJ's on Pick & Pulls only shows 3 in the whole country. I hope that isn't all

I first saw the MJ in the classified section here on CC. I called the Pick & Pull in Rancho Cardova and spoke with someone there. They will not pull parts and ship them. I asked if there was an employee that would be interested in making a few bucks and doing it on their own. I was told that they were prohibited from doing that and could be fired. I asked if she could give me the name of someone that pulls parts for others. She said no and maybe I could try Craigslist for Sacramento. Good grief. Contrast that to the P&P here in Virginia Beach. A 94 XJ came in recently and I called to ask about it. I left work right away and went and looked at it - and with no tools. It had already been invaded but much of what I was looking for was still there. I asked if there was someone that would pull parts and she gave me the name of someone that was on sight. There are a few guys that make money for themselves by pulling parts for others,. I met one and asked him to pull the dash and other parts which he agreed to. I picked up the parts a couple days later (big rains storms but by putting it off there is a big chance of someone else getting it first). No one has come forward to pull parts from the Rancho Cordova location. I am 3,000 miles away. Anyone have success in finding those that might be working on there own at far away P&Ps? If so, how did you go about finding someome?

In the process of removal from a donor, the knee board suffered a vertical crack. Honey is not the easiest color to come across. Anyone have experience with putting a fiberglass patch (or anything else) on the back where the crack, soon to be split, is? Gorrilla Glue?
