Also I thought that the electrics ran off of the battery and the alternator was just there to keep the battery charged at the correct voltage -
name isnt wutang clan wisdom..... don't understand why my title is "can spell comanche"... :fs1: I'm capable of much more than that! sorry I am asking a lot of noob questions. I did research the relays and there was no agreeing answer since I found multiple different answers especially on the power latch relay I can't find a replacement part for this relay or really sure it really exists. and for the fuel pump relay? I can only find Fuel injection relay for a replacement might this be the same thing?

2 are ford relays and one says canada on it ... I will change them just so there is less ford in my jeep

Did all my grounds the first day i worked on it except the fuse panel ground and the fuel pump ground, fuse panel will be next . I think my battery is a drain on the system at 11.7 it has had a terminal replaced by the previous owner and he said it took him 2 weeks to fix it.... I don't trust his work so its time for another battery. -
I don't understand why you responded in ebonics can you elaborate why you did that?
-
so I tested my battery output with my multimeter today and it displayed 11.7 this is a bad thing right? I'm wondering if this is the stem of my rough spiratic rough idle.I'm guessing the battery doesnt have enough juice to put the right output to all my sensors which may hinder their functions? The reason I check this in the first place was cause while my manche was running I turned the head lights on and it seems to idle rough for a second and then return to normal idle.

I also notice that the 2 inch hose that goes from the front of the airbox to the header? has holes in it and should prob be replaced. I found out this will be a PITA job -

yeah figured the tranny out today drain plug is on the driver side and fill plug is on the passenger side just couldnt figure out how to get them off what size square bit? as for the load assister I found where to pump them up right next to the gas cap didnt have a compressor to check for inflateablity, will at a later time. I did however clean the egr and IAC and throttle body and it seems to idle better but still sputters once in a while not to the point Its going to stall though. Think I might change out the fuel filter next it looks pretty old or the map sensor which also looks old and rusty . Here are some more pics I took today while working on it one is of the oil pressure sensor ( I think) not sure how to remove it yet but will try to find some info on it. The other is a future headache which is my motor mount bushing theres about a 1/4 inch gap between it and the bracket..... -
sorry for the lango instead of the lingo this is my first owned 5 speed ( I know pathetic...but at least its a jeep!) so its just refered to as gear oil? ok got it. Ya I got the peugeot. 5.2q expensive drinker. I went to check the level of my gear oil today and realized I didnt have the right sized ratchet so I couldnt check it 3/8 to big and 1/4 to small......

thanks alot for that info and for jeep driver sorry I made you mad enough to express your opinion

wutangwisdom replied to wutangwisdom's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
yeah I'm planning on doing this after I get all the major things done to get her on the road the vacuum hoses I am replacing now are the airbox hoses should have been more specific on which vacuum hoses. the 3/16 brake line replaces the plastic lines that go into the harness near the airbox. can i use metal brake lines to replace these or should they be plastic as well ? -
