Decided to after finally getting my taxes back. I ordered the JCR DIY rear bumper (looks the best imo) and a down and dirty winch bumper with stinger. (If it doesn't look good on the comanche I'll be swapping my slimline bumper over to it from my XJ).

I'm gunna pull the valve cover completely off today. All those hoses. Degrease it all and clean it out. Then come payday I'm gunna order the new hoses and such for it. (waiting on tax returns to purchase some things for the comanche).

Got a 86 2.5l 5 speed. Hasnt really ran in a few months, Got it started up and noticed theres oil rapidly coming out of the hose in the back of the airbox. Which is then coming down the airbox underneath it along the fender well. I'm looking to see any insight on it? Reading forum post ive noted it could be something common to do with the valve cover hoses clogged?

Update. It started fine the past few times ive started it. However! Have oil flowing into the airbox and out of it rapidly. I'm reading up on it currently. Had a YJ do it on occasion. But never messed with it. I'm wanting to fix it on here. Cause it smokes and runs rough. I'm looking into a blocked valve line? Any insight?

If they don't. I can mess with it on my down time. It would help.

I replaced the CPS. They had plug wires out of order. It cranked and ran. Shut it off. Now the coil has about 11.40 volts. No volts from the distributor. Any ideas?

I got it running without a new pump earlier. Fixed the ground. However. Went to start it a few minutes ago and it won't start. Just cranks and cranks. Hear the pump prime. Tested volts out of coil. Found out I'm not getting spark from the distributor.

I got to mess with it today. I replaced the CPS. Did some volt test on things. Put my optima battery from my XJ in the mj today to attempt to crank it. can't hear the fuel pump priming. At all. Tested relays up front. Got 12v from them. Tested the power to the fuel pump when keys turned. Went from 4v to about 5.40v. I took off the sending line. Turned key. Nothing came out. So I ordered a new fuel pump. However! I noticed the PO put new plugs and wires on it. Wires weren't put in correct firing order. So with a little starting fluid. She fired up!

I ordered a CPS just to be safe. I know i shouldnt "toss parts at it" but I'm only ordering a cps because id hate to diagnose it and it be that and have to wait another week for the part to arrive.

Its a 2.5l TBI if that helps.

Hey! Bought a 86 MJ from a couple that use to run and drive fine. Now it won't. They say it cranks and won't fire. Any ideas before i dig in? I'm gunna check fuel/spark/air of course. But any other suggestions on this?

Havent gotten to mess with her in a few days. Hopefully ill have her up this weekend! Picked up parts to make a cold air intake. New fuel line. Key tumbler. As well as radiator since mine currently has holes in them. Still on the hunt for the airbox clips.

Bump. Anyone happen to find a link or have some laying around?

Hey! Have a 86 2.5l project I'm working on. I'm looking to see if anyone has the hose connecting from the throttle body cap and to the airbox lid. I also need 2 clips for the cap on the throttle body cap. Anyone selling or having some laying around? Trying to save this comanche and having issues locating the small parts. Thanks!

Waiting on frame stiffeners & tax time. I'll be buying tons of steel to get the frame rot fixed. Maybe a small lift. Gotta purchase a car hauler and 1 tons for my XJ. But I'm planning to do a lcog build with this. No mud.

Since i couldnt find this at all anywhere. The 86 Throttle Body // Intake Stud nuts are M6x1.00.

She now has a lower dash. Brake release. As well as shift knob.

How she sits currently. Pulled the side steps off. Rear bumper off. Bed is off and getting it ready for frame repairs.

Nevermind got it! its a 6mmx1.00

Ill do them when i get home tonight. Trying to figure out the 3 nut size's for the 2.5l tbi motor. The throttle body studs. Po lost the 3 nuts for the air intake.

Working on getting the pics uploaded.

I'm hoping go get a size/thread specs to get a new one.

I got a 86 2.5l 4x4 as a project. On the throttle body is 3 studs. Completely missing the nuts for them. Does anyone know a size by chance? Thanks!
