  1. Ok so I bought an 89 Comanche 2 years ago. That may have been a mistake lol. Anyway after getting the truck running I decided to do a 4wd swap and get rid of the ba. I got an ax15 out of a 98 along with the transfer case. so I pulled my motor and tranny painted the engine bay put it all back together go to start it and guess what it doesn't start I check my cps .1 volts. so I change it go to start it and same thing. The same out come for the next 3 sensors. after this I get one from napa drill to one hole larger install it and I get .3, finally I order a mopar one. install it get an output voltage of .1. I find it hard to believe I got 5 sensors that are failed not including the one that I had which was the one it had prior to removal. is it possible that the ax15 bell housing pulled the cps just a lil farther from the flywheel causing a weak output? I'm at a loss here, I have gone over grounds those are good and I have the correct flywheel. I'm either gonna start feeding my flywheel cps in hopes of getting it as close as possible to increase voltage or I'm gonna get rid of the renix and go ho, standalone, or chevy 350. I would really like to keep the renix in there considering its all back together. any ideas as what my issue is.
  2. I'm looking for a coolant overflow form a cherokee or comanche that came with a 2.5 its the one that mounts next to the air box. if your local ill come pick it up if not it would need to be shipped to 11779.
  3. iv done auto to manual swap in a cherokee 95 donor and 90 truck I'm at the point to where I need to mount the clutch master in my 4wd swap manche (1998 donor) as well I have exactly what your describing. I looked at my Cherokee and the master is smaller.
  4. you have to remove the old gasket and "work" in the new one.
  5. it sounds like you have a newer master get one from a 1995. the flange is smaller.
  6. did you tell him i guess you plan on keeping it.
  7. i paid 1000 for mine. 89,000 on it no rust on frame either. small spot of rust on cab. even if i had money the piss away i wouldnt get that.
  8. i have one on mine no idea what its from it came on it. i like it and now think the roof looks funny with out it.

    Seat

I have pics but I don't know how to post them from my phone. I can email them. By front I mean where the front bolts to the floor it was separated from the rail. And by back I mean where it bolts to the floor on the rear of the seat also removed from the rail.

    Seat

I am looking for a seat for my comanche. Bench or buckets or just the brackets all I have is both front portions and the driver side rear bracket. Any help is appreciated. I'm on Long Island will travel if necessary. Thanks in advance.
  11. Good. Go to post 7 in my Tips link and you can see the proper routing... will do. i will also be converting my cooling system to open because my rad let go this morning and the hoses look a bit iffy anyway.
  12. Finally fixed it. it was the crank position sensor. the harness melted causing it to short out. thanks for the help guys!
  13. I thought about that. But found that the erg isn't hooked up and the vacuum line is plugged. Anyway I went to start it today and it's doing it again. I feel it's something electrical at this point.
  14. Today I went to start it for $#!&s and giggles and it starts right up. Idling nice and smooth. Went to hit the gas and it stumbled. So I made my ballast resistor bypass more perminate and it's running very nice. So I'm not really sure what it was with the exception of the ballast resistor.
  15. Vacuum line appears to be fine, no cracks and has a unrestricted flow. i will do a compression test prior to pulling anything apart. I will update when i get a chance to do the test. my work schedule is retarded on the weekends.
  16. ok so far i have changed (or swapped out with know working ones) all that i mentioned before (CPS, TPS, Cap, Rotor, Coil, ICM) now i have done MAP sensor, distributor, Fuel Pressure regulator injector's (6) and the rail. I'm beginning to think valve timing it sounds like the engine is running on 4 cylinders not 6. before i pull the timing chain and gears any suggestions?
  17. I changed my spark plugs. I noticed they were wet with fuel and stunk bad. I also jumped the resistor and had no change.
  18. Ill give that a whirl. I did change that from the 90 it was working fine 3 days prior to putting it in the comanche.
  19. i drained the fuel with a fuel pump that that i had and used a feul line down into the tank from the fill. i added $25 in fuel wet gas and octaine boost ran it then this started to happen i also put in 5 gallons in and its still doing it.
  20. So 3 weeks ago i bought an 89 comanche short bed 5 speed with 91 thousand miles on it clean frame and good body. I paid 1000 doallars at police auction. I finaly got it home changed the oil and filter, drained the fuel and added new tried to start it, i had no spark. So i started to check things out so far i have replaced the CPS, Coil, Cap, Rotor, Wires and ICM was going to change the plugs but after i pulled one and i looked brand new i decided not to, after all that got it to start, but it would stall while driving. I replaced the the TPS and it was good to go or so i thought. It drove fine for three days. my brother had it on friday and said it ran great, actully better then his 90 cherokee when it was renix (we just swapped in everything from a 95 so i have an extra renix engine and majority of sensors) so saturday i go to drive it and it was running like total garbage and got worse till it stalled. now it starts runs so rough that it seems like i have muitple cylinders missing and there is no throttle input. I checked my fuel pressure its at 38 pounds. I'm going to change the spark plugs to see if maybe i fouled one or mutiple out while trying to get it to start and I'm going to change my fuel filter because i wanted to do it any way. So what should i check after i do the plugs and filter. I'm leaning towards something fuel related because it got so low (less then 1/8th) and i don't know the quality of gas that was in there. As far as service records or any history i don't know any. The only tring i know is that it sat for at least two years at the impound.
