use a spark plug socket and then a swival then an extension and should come out. I did mine last week.

checked the upper and lower control arms the bushings are still good. and its still making noises...

motor mounts are about 6 months old. I didnt see any rubbing on the exhaust. could it be control arm bushings or some thing like that? the noise sounds like something rolling across the bed of the truck..

Happens only when turning left. I jaked up that side and the tire assembly doesnt sag any so i figure its not the bearings. So now I'm lost... when I'm driving straight it on does it if going through rough dirt roads and its wet outside. All the sound it coming from the front drivers side though..

I have an 86 2 wd 2.5L and when i turn to the left i here a noise on the right side sounds like something rolling across the bed of the truck. Any Ideas what that might be?

I have an 86 with a 2.5 and i want to put a 4.0 in it. I know that i need all the wiring and the computer and the full drive train. I was wondering if the motor mounts in the same location? I know that the transmisson is long but thats not a big deal. Any info would be appericiated Thank you.

Ok sounds good. ill get to checking out getting some custom hoses made up. Just as soon as i can walk again. I had to have sugery on my foot and they had to cut all the tendons in my right foot. So I can't walk for a while. Thanks for the help :cheers:

i have an 86 2.5 snd I'm having trouble finding replacement hoses for the ac mainly the ones that run from the block on the fire wall to the radiator in the front. Any help would be appericiated. I'm mostly concerned about the smaller plastic low pressure line mine was twisted in half when i bought my truck.

I think ill just order and change the entire thing out since I'm sure it is pretty worn. Thank for the help and that web site. The prices are a lot better than what i can get it for around here and everyone has to order it so not much diffrence in waiting time either. Now I just need to find a 4wd transmission and ill have the truck on the trails. I'm tired of the 2 wd trans. Its summer and i want to have fun again. Thanks again for all the help.

Does any where sell the tensinor? or do you have to get entire kit?

Well its not the orginal engine and it has been rebuilt during some part of its life. This is the first 2.5 i have ever worked on. I'm use to the i6 love them. Ill try to see about the timing. Ill have to see if any one has a timing gun even.

I changed out the o2 sensor and it is still backfiring. Is there anything else that would cause this?

i noticed that my bolts on my valve cover were a little lose so that have been it. Or at least it has a little more power. lol

I have an 86 2.5 that i just put in the truck and it backfires every once in awhile right after you turn the ignition off. And it stumbles and is weak on take off sometimes. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.
