  1. That was my MJ I recently moved back up to indiana. Just havent changed my plates over yet. I was working the entrances of the trails. There isn't much rust on it at all. Only place is where I cut the front fenders to match my bumper. If I don't get ride of it soon it is going to be cut up into a buggy.
  2. 1986 JEEP COMANCHE Started life as a 2.8 2wd long bed bench seat automatic regular glass rear window only rust is surface rust and not much of it. Currently 2.5 4wd long bed bucket seats have slider glass window to go in it. As for my door tag it looks like it says may of 86.

  7. So I have already went through all of this. The motor mounts are all the same doesnt matter if it is a 2.5, 2.8, or 3.4. They are all drop in the mounts. The fly wheels are diffrent and the wiring and fuel pump setup is diffrent. and the computers are diffrent. I switched mine out in less than 5 hours. The switch is really easy. And the hourse power gain is worth the time to switch.
  8. Where is a good place to buy an engine rebuild kit for an 1986 2.5?
  9. the axle is actually off about two inches to one side.
  10. my track bar is off. guess I could get an adjustable one or move the whole over, or maybe I could just fab one up. Hum the choices........
  11. I put a 4wd front axle in my jeep and lifted it at the same time 3 inches. Now it turns sharp to the left but not as sharp to the right. Any thoughs what might cause this?

    tough times

are right I'm going to have to probably sale my jeep. I don't want to but times are tough. My question is I'm in the middle of switching it over to 4wd. it is functioning as 2wd at the moment. the only thing left is to put the 4wd axle under the front and put the drive shaft in and hook up the 4wd linkage. But what is really worth more? OR maybe i should just part it out?
  21. Its just going to be a toy. Long arms is no big deal I fab them up and as far as coils in the front i was thinking coil overs may just do coil overs on the whole thing havent decided yet. I hate balancing drive shafts is the only reason I wanted to keep the 2wd one but ill just cut them both. no big deal. It just has to barley pass inspection that way i can drive it down the road to get on the trails.
  22. Lmao ok I was just trying to eleminate having to extend both drive shafts. The 2wd drive shaft is only 6 inches longer than the 4wd one. BUt i wasnt shure what that translated into lift wise. I'm planning on doing a soa and add a leaf and extended shackels. and then what ever to the front to level it out.
  23. How much lift would i have to have in order to use my 2wd drive shaft in my 4wd truck?
  24. there are more clubs just not publcised as much. Sucks that they havent squard you away with housing yet. Usually there a little faster than that.
