i heard somewhere that you could put a cummins 4b in it. its a 3.9L turbo, just like the 5.9L in dodge rams but with only 4 cylinders.

thats a good idea for the mounts, pete. i think ill use that idea. as for the dom tubing, what thickness and dia would you recomend? and where could i get a very inexpensive tubing bender? i want to do several projects that require bent tubes (id like to try a less complex vertion of patricks rig), but i can't find a bened for less than $3000. I'm looking for cheapest i can get that will bend dom tubing.

i have a question about the OME 5" kit on ebay Link . is this any good? i was thinking about getting it as the price is right and its the amount of lift i want. Should i go ahead and get it or no? does anyone have experience with OME.

awesome! i have the 4spd but planned on swaping ing a 5spd. i guess ill be gettin killer fuel milage now! some told me the the 4 and 5 spds use different clutches. is this true? will i have to get new clutch with the 5spd or can i use my existing clutch(which is also newish)

For you that don't know my truck from JeepForum.com; I have a 1988 Comanche base model. 2wd, 2.5L, ax4 My plans: 4wd converstion, 5spd, lift 5in( probably will be the first thing to get done), 33's, stacks!....more to come when i figure out what i want to do.
