I’m trying to bypass my ignition switch with a universal ignition switch ! Does anyone have a diagram of the wiring needed modify this ?

I’m having fuel leaking where the injector go’s into engine port side not the rail side ! I’ve replaced the O-rings three different times but still continues to leak I’ve made sure the o-rings are seated and the injectors weren’t too tight but still leaking from out of the engine port side ! Be checked injector fir cracks but it is a solid steal injector Oem original injector ! Any suggestionsS? And where can I buy new injectors and what’s the price ? Thank you !

I am having a hard time locating to rent or to buy the correct ball joint extraction tool kitt I’ve tried using o-Reilly’s universal kitt but it didn’t fitt exactly and I nearly busted the puller being made of cheap aluminum alloy is there a kitt that’s hardened steel also I need the correct off set adapter kitt for this ball joint requires an offset installer to install it anyone know where I can get this ? Would you have the correct part number To buy or rent ? And which auto supply should I go to ? Also I’ve tried using the kitt from o-Reilly’s but I nearly busted the puller I’m looking for a kitt with hardened steel if there is one ?

Thank you Azjeff- pocketemptied-& rokinn for your advice and great information I knew I wasn’t alone in this from what I’ve already been through on installing the ball joints the rental kits from Advance auto parts do not fitt and O-Reileys your links and suggestions I will now pursue and get this job finally done I was barely able to install the left side with a kitt that did not fitt at all and nearly broke the parts within the kitt so I’ve been hesitant to do the other side without the correct tool and again. Comanche club and it’s many members like you guys came through time and time again. Thank you guys ! I’m so greatfull !

Yes I agree ! When I jack the front tires off the ground I get no resistance I emptied the reservoir and slowly added fluid while I turn the wheel left to right slowly.and then adding more as I go and still hard steering when I drop front tires on the ground cranked up the truck and it’s very tight steering ! Purging as much air as I could ! I’ll recheck to see if. Lines may be clogged or degree in system outside of that I’ll just keep turning wheel maybe it will free up ?

1989 Jeep comanche 2wheel drive 5 speed ,Having troubles with Hard steering after replacing steering gear box and power steering pump I made several attempts purging any air out of system but still steering very hard lock to lock when I turn but as I’m driving forward steering is better only comming to a stop or turn does it steer hard ! Any suggestions ? ! Thanks for help

standard basic stock truck 2wdrv 4.0 6cyl just looking to stay with the oem as possible not wanting to have to replace ever again I'm 60 yrs old purchased this truck in 1989 ill die owning this truck ! But it will live beyond my time !!

Well said cruiser no punn intended towards these other guys on experience but Seems there is no finality and no middle ground and the question doesnt get answered ! But also I'm just looking for the best quality gear box for my comanche basic Oem as close to manufacturer quality as possible meaning quality seals bearings ect !!

where do i purchase a Zj box and is it the three bolt setup will it fit ??also Price how much you think it would cost me roughly ?

Cruiser i have been away for long time but ive read every post youve put out and i feel as if i know you ! and I do but behind the lines i side with you !! But as far as the gear box i only have 2 wheel drive and as long as its cjeap enough and works as long as this original did I'm ok with it ! I do do 4 wheeling in a 2 wheel drive comanche because its a comanche its possible halol thanks cruiser

But I'm just keeping it as original as possible i realy do want to upgrade the truck to 4 wheel drive and thats been a dream and a passion to accomplish that but given my circumstances i can't afford to do that I'm having a hard enough time keeping the truck together but just want to keep it stock ! its 2wheel drive commanche pioneer i had it from factory ! thanks my friend !!

where could i purchase the zj box ? and yeah I'm realy trying to keep as close to original as possible ! it always turned on a dime ! and it lasted since 1989 thats a long time ! but not wanting to go broke too at same time I'm for quality and ill pay for it ! thanks eaglescout for your reply ! just a good stock gear box not planning on off road but at times i do end up in tghe woods ive never been stuck and its 2 wheel drive ! but i do not want to replace this again ! the one i have has lasted way over than i expected ive replaced the engine twice and going on a third time so its done its job but needs replacing

Thanks for that info I’ll try and confirm that further so I can get the correct linkages and stock parts that came with this transmition like shifter ect ...

I'm needing help on my 2wdrive swap to 4wdrive I'll add photos of the transmition I purchased from another jeep I'm bv trying to identify it because th e identifiable tags are missing and I believe the front and rear axles are from the same jeep cherokee the transmition is from but I'll post photos to see if any of you guys can identify it !?

Yeah I’m sure they need balancing also the entire front end probably needs replacing because nothing. Has been serviced e erything is stock from when it was first bought in 89 you know like bush8ngs top and lower ball joints steeering pit,an arm ect ! But to resolve the death wobble as quickly and efficiently without blowing money where it won’t resolve it as a quick fix isn’t helping me ! I’ll probably start with the most obvious like the track bar and then just start replacing bushings. and also the ball joints I’ll even check the bearings too for slagg basically anything that moves or shakes while I turn the shell from lock to lock is going to be replaced. It’s all I can do and hope to hell it isn’t a waist of money and time I won’t stupid my way.can't afford even stupid :)
