  1. My son installed a CD in my dash all seemed to work perfect. So I left my lights on, turned off ing. and the radio stayed ON. Turn on radio no lights, turn on lights ing. off = radio's ON.. again. HELP.. strange ?? lights hooked to radio.??
  2. Look'n good.!! I did the same interior swap. I got lucky my downer was a 2dr, buckets fold forward, makes for easy storage behind them. Ron
  3. They are spring loaded, swing back against the door. On tight trail they start out, pushed-in against the door. If you noticed the pass. side mirror has a dent, or 2.. he he. Usually I'm going slow enough they get pushed, not banged. Ron
  4. Comanche Kid 45 Tire question?........Do you use those tires on the roads and how are they? Ive seen them advertised for sale a time or 2 but they stated not for highway use, just wondering if theyre really "that bad" for a truck that sees very little highway activity and how they performed offroad? Yep, I ran them on the Freeway getting to the trails. NO trailer queen here, they worked surprising well, G 78 Radial Buckshot Mudders, about 36" with 30 psi. some wine not bad. Offroad they were Great in our NW mud, rocks required LOW air pressure > 6 to 8 psi. never ran them in the sand. Her name is " leftovers " :rotf: was built from leftover parts off other JEEPs. Front is mostly original + HD Spicer u-joints - "new" lower ball joints and 4.56 ring&pinion. Rear is off a Disc-brake Grand Cherokee, Dana 35 + Superior Super 35 diff. up-grade, with a freshly rebuilt Detroit Locker all-ready in it. Cut off all the Coil Spring stuff, installed it spring over with anti-wrap mounts = 6" lift. Front lift got the rear coils from the Grand + 1.5" spacers = 5.5" lift. Lower control arms are ?? red, used aftermarket with jonny-joints, installed extended 1" forward for tire clearance. Other stuff, 3' by 4' 3/8" steel skid pan under trans & transfer case, used as cross-member for trans mount, gained me 2.5" ground clearance. Hand throttle on 5 spd. shift leaver, custom shift knob - I made this. OH YA, did I mention she's my daily driver. Just went to Roundup Montana son's wedding, Casper Wyoming visit 2 sisters, then back home to Woodland Washington = 2,654 miles. Ron
  5. Thanks for the comments  Front is a Metallic silver, back is Dark blue. Here's how it looked when I got it, my son got it from " the goodwill " no joke, and gave it to me. 2 days later  Ron
  6. I was on this forum before, my e-mail site was closed, so I started over. >> ron@nw-offroad.com I know my MJ is UGLY, but I'm a "real off-road'er" dents and paint don't make it GO.
