  1. I'd have to pass on that Commander-looking truck, but bring on the Gladiator and Rescue. I'm selling my PSD, and I think the Rescue would be the perfect towrig for me.
  2. Same spot, but I did drop them about an inch.
  3. I don't care what they cost, sign me up for one of each!
  4. I never covered the specs, so here goes. '87 MJ pioneer, 4.0, AW4, 231, factory 44 geared 4.56 w/ lockright, 30 geared same, approx. 7" lift using RE drop brackets and components, rear spring over, was longbed, now bobbed 15", 97-01 frt. clip, 35" mtrs on Jeep Canyon wheels running 1.5"" spacers, XJ buckets, tuffy YJ console. When I bobbed the bed, I cut the framerails off and made a new rear crossmember w/ shackle hangers, d-rings, and reciever. I wanted the tailgate flush w/ crossmember, so I had to notch tailgate so it would actually open. To shorten the bed...just make a few marks where you want to cut, close your eyes, and pull the solvesall trigger; then weld it back up. In my case, that whole process involved alot of cussing in between. Hope that helps.
  5. If they bring out the Rescue or the Gladiator, I'll will be first in line with my deposit. I haven't seen the concept you are talking about though.
  6. The frt clip was simple, and only about $200 in parts. I should have used a junkyard header panel though, the aftermarket one didn't fit too well. I've got a set of taillights for it and the trimmed edges didn't look too bad, until I got in to that bedside and seperated the panels. But I will put some kind of trim on them for ya.
  7. So I started this little project with the intentions of building a reliable DD/ mild wheeler. Something that I could hop in, drive to the trails, camp out of, wheel, and drive home. It turned out better then I had hoped for, atleast I think it did. This whole truck was built on a budget, and I didn't go too far over. Here are a few pics immediately after paint, and yes it was painted outside, with tractor paint nonetheless. And I took it out for a maiden voyage this past weekend, around 500 miles w/ no issues, didn't get any pics completed before it got its first body damage. Let me know what yall think.
  8. Did my bucket swap Sat., took the plasma to all the rivets, used 1/4" bolts in their place with the xj floor brackets. I was expecting worse.
  9. Frt clip update was simple, I got all of the parts aftermarket except for wiring harness and bulb sockets. Hopefully I'll get a new camera this weekend and get some pics upfirst of the week when its been painted. After paint, I can finish up the frt bumper, rock sliders, interior, and maybe interior cage.
  10. Just registered as I recently purchased a '87. 4.0, AW4, 4x4, 44, longbed. I've got lots planned and already alot accomplished, it should get paint this weekend, or first part of next week. So far I've bobbed the bed 15", made a new rear bumper/crossmember w/reciever and d-rings and shackle mounts, updated the front clip to 97-01, lifted the front w/ RE 5.5 ZJ coils, drop brackets, fixed control arms, and mounted up some 35" mtrs on factory TJ canyon wheels. All I really have left is paint and interior which I plan to convert to all XJ, preferably gray cause this light blue has to go! Custom frt bumper w/winch is in the plans too. And btw, this whole project is being done on a $2500 budget! But regearing will probably put me over that. I destroyed my camera in my last rollover in my YJ, but I will buy another soon and get some pics up for anyone interested. Travis
