  16. I'm pretty sure its a dana 35. (when i bought the truck the guy said it had upgraded gears in it) now if he was telling the truth idk  ... here are some pics idk if u can tell lol .... if u want i can get some pics after school
  17. That all depends on how you do it. If you are able to find axles that are already geared with what you want, then yes, you should be able to do it. If you have to pay someone to re-gear your axles, then you are going to pay more. Most retail shops get $1000 - $1200 for a gear job...parts & labor. Gears are NOT something that can be done by the average guy as they require special tools and knowledge. yeah i no they are no easy... my good friend is a mechanic and I'm sure i could take it to hit shop and he could show me how to do it. :smart:
  18. haha i like the one they will work harder for it! lmao and i no some "heavy people" and i don't think they would care at all lol.... what are some other funny windshield stickers u guys got?
  19. Oh I've never pay to regear axles. I buy axles with the new gear ratio already in them. I "regeared" my 88 to 4.10s (with Ford axles) for negative money (since I parted out the 78 Bronco for way more than I paid). I bought a pair of 4.88 geared ford axles for it (not yet installed) for about $600. I regeared the 90 to 3.55 for about $300 (99Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear). It's all about patience and hunting ion the right spots for a good deal. I can spend hundreds on an exhaust/intake and my truck will still suck with 31s on 3.07s. It's sometimes a hard pill to swallow (depending on the circumstances), but gearing is still the proper cure for big tires. so to regear I'm looking at about 600 bucks or so?
  20. I laugh when TJ owners complain about the lack of space in their Jeep. :teehee: just open the rear window and throw everything in the bed! :clapping: TJ's can't do that :brows:
  21. would it just be a fool move to have this on my truck? i think i might have to get one made up! lol
  22. I'm not swapping the motor... gears are do-able tho.
  23. haha tell me about the crash rating!.... viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15487 :clapping:
  24. its an auto tranns.... so with 4.10 gears ill get a lot more "get up and go"? lol
