  1. Rough drafting a center console. I will have it welded up and powder coated. This design is boxy, I may have to refine it a bit more. Image Not Found Image Not Found
  2. I'd love to have exact dimensions (or the best you can do) with lots of photos at different angles. Details about the front/rear flaps, plus hardware would be most appreciated. Even if you traced the outline on paper and mailed it to me, that would be an option. Thanks for your time!
  3. If I can just get my hands on a pair for exact measurements, I know a guy with a waterjet who can cut multiple copies with ease. I think he can even engrave logos on the material...
  4. Looking for a matching front/rear set of mud flaps that fit a 1989 Comanche Longbed.
  5. Some updates. - I was able to fix the passenger seatbelt. It turns out part of the belt was tangled in the seat frame underneath out of sight. All better now! - The gas gauge kinda works. It doesn't accurately show fuel levels. Haven't run out of gas yet, but I've come close. - Chrysler sent me a build sheet! You can read it below. All I did was send an email to Chrysler with my VIN number and request a build sheet. They sent me one a few days later. Thank you for contacting the Jeep Customer Assistance Center. 6. Got "Baby Blue" back from the shop today. Once we finally figured out what front axle was on it, the parts were ordered and replaced quickly. The front axle is off a 97 XJ, so I know for future reference. I also replaced all the brake fluid to DOT5, added a new steering stabilizer, replaced the fuel filter, added a mandatory license plate light, and replaced a front brake line. The engine knock sound also went away. Here is another photo, just because I love taking photos! Image Not Found
  7. I had the shop check when it was in for inspection. They didn't find anything loose. I will double check it again myself, just to make sure. Thanks for the heads up, that could've really helped me out!
  8. Update: TWO bearings that were bad in the front axle need replaced. It should also pass inspection and soon be ready to drive! I also heard something that sounds like engine knock, but it could be the bearings in the front.
  9. Haha, that's a knee slapper!
  10. Check out Jeff Daniels Offroad website for info. They do 4bt swaps. I wanted to do a swap but they discouraged the idea because of the vibrations and stress on the unibody. Still dreaming.
  11. -Deep tread of mat catches on heel of shoes while using the clutch pedal. Do you drive with cowboy boots and spurs? I've never had a problem with my heel catching or interference with the pedal. You do strike a valid point. They are not a direct fit, being they are for an XJ, and they do warp slightly, but not extreme. The main reason I got them is because I like the "deep dish" hold everything design. They did contain a bottle of soda from going all over the carpet last night. Guess the next mod will be cupholders!
  12. I am looking for some mud flaps for my 89 Comanche. From what I read, my only bet is the junk yard or ebay if I want mud flaps? I don't know anything about mud flaps for the Comanche, so is there anything specific I need to watch for? Is there any place out there that sells aftermarket flaps for the MJ or XJ that can be adapted for a Comanche? Thanks for the help!
  13. For those who are looking for a good floor liner/mat, I got these from Quadratec for $60. They are the Quadratec Ultimate Floor Liners for the 84-01 Cherokee. Part # 14254.7001 http://www.quadratec...254_7001_07.htm Overall impressions are good. They fit pretty well, and have a lot of coverage on the floor. I have a set for my Wrangler and they are very durable and really keep mud and slush off the carpet. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found

  15. Now that I am back from Texas, I hope to get the Manche inspected and road ready. I think I might do a custom license plate, but I need to see what is available. I attached a few photos of before and after for those who are too lazy to click links. I think b52nav did a great job on the restoration, and I hope to improve upon where he left off. 16. YES! That's it! I was looking everywhere and couldn't find the link. I'm happily learning more and more about my truck everyday. =)
  17. 4.5" lift. In addition it has ACOS adjustable coil spacers.
  18. Yes, it is a 4wd conversion. It has a NP242 Transfer case with more 4wd options than I know what to do with. =)
  19. Updated info and photos above.
  20. Here are photos of the Comanche once we arrived home in PA. It was well worth the drive! I'll be leaving for a Texas trip next week, so I stored it in the barn basement. I'll start work on it soon. Some things I plan to do are: Undercoat the underneath. Custom tool box. Custom roll bar and tire carrier. Custom bed and tailgate guards. (Stole the idea from the "Building of Bucky" thread. Rocker guards. Clean up the interior. Tune the engine. Here is a link to the build thread before me, with additional photos. 22. Now I begin my 13 hour drive home. I can't stop looking in the mirror! Pics will come...
  23. Hello Everyone! I am new to the Comanche Club, so new, I don't even have a Comanche. That however, might change. Friday I will be embarking on a 13 hour drive to hopfully purchase a very nice Comanche that has caught my eye. 13 hours out, catch a bit of sleep, load up the MJ, and drive 13 hours home. That is the plan. I've never been a forum type of guy, but first impressions around here are good, and I feel welcomed. I guess you can just follow this thread as I embark on the adventure of my first Comanche!
  24. I wanted to do a diesel swap, but was told it is not a good idea to mount a diesel in a unibody vehicle. Guess I need a comanche first anyways... I will keep an eye on this thread, looks like an interesting build.
