  1. Looking to buy "DRIVER SIDE" Tail Light for 91 comanche. Don't know what they're going for right now, but I'm willing to negotiate. PM me, please.
  2. there is a pipe and a weld in between my muffler and cat as it sits right now, so i'm guessing its been tampered with?
  3. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=129238&cc=1181764&jsn=376 that is what I ordered right there, gonna order a gasket really quick, what size bolts are they? edit: so will the cat fit right on the tail pipe? or am i going to need to find one of those little adapters and some pipe? going to be using clamps too btw, don't know how to weld.
  4. what do you guys think about running straight pipe? is it really obnoxious? edit : just went ahead and ordered what I need, cat, clamps and a new o2 sensor, anything else you think I'll need? will a cutting wheel on a grinder suffice or should i borrow a sawzall?
  5. I agree, fired up the truck this morning and was listening to it.. (Most of the time I just get in and drive) When it's idling it has this like "rattling" sound that comes from either the muffler or cat, I'm not really sure, but when I tap the cat with a hammer or something when its off, it doesn't sound like a rattle, or if it does, it's not very distinct. If I take off the cat, do I have to weld the new one back on there? Or can I use the exhaust clamps to reinstall it? I figure while I'm doing that I might as well replace the muffler too.
  6. Is there a write up somewhere about this?
  7. On a side note, my valve cover gasket did start leaking, and I'm replacing it as we speak, but while taking the bolts out, one of my bolts broke, so I have to find the right size bolt for it. Might check my spark plugs to see if they have oil on them, might be a long shot but worth a shot. Any ideas what size bolt goes into the 2.5 valve cover? I'm reading its a 1/4 - 20 but not too sure.
  8. Doesn't have a tag on mine unfortunately :/
  9. I just recently replaced spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor, distributor cap, and the air filter a few weeks back when I did a tune up. Haven't check my fuel pressure though, I'll have to check that and see whats up. I have some blow by so my air filter usually always has a little bit of oil on it, but not much I can do about that atm.
  10. So, I don't really know much about gear ratio's etc, still a noob, but I have 235/75 r15's on there right now. I'm assuming its the stock axle ratio. I think it came on slowly, because I've been driving it for a while and just started to notice it having more and more trouble going uphill and going above 55. Yes, I know it's a 4banger lol, I don't really want to go fast, but struggling to make it to 55? That can't be normal. Right?
  11. Basically, long story short. I'm having issues going up hill, acceleration is kind of sluggish and it has a hard time going above 55mph. I don't have a tachometer so I don't know what my rpm's are, but when I get it up to 50-55 mph, the rpms sound high. Any thoughts?
  12. yea, I followed the bleeding procedure, was actually talking to my boss about it the other day and he thought I was insane.. he told me it couldn't be that specific, and I was trying to explain it was lol.. air only comes out of the back passenger side bleeder
  13. alright, will do, thank you.. I think I have a bad wheel cylinder on my passenger side, no matter what I do, I can't get air out of that line.. Wouldn't that point towards a bad wheel cylinder?
  14. awesome, that does look really easy.. I'll probably do that in the future.
  15. If I felt like I could, I would, but I think that's a little above my skill level right now lol
  16. Hey guys, gonna rebuild my drum brakes (both), never done it before and was looking at a kit on RockAuto .. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=5912082&cc=1181764&jsn=433&jsn=433 Is that all I'll need? It looks like it's missing a shoe. Any tips or tricks you guys have to make it easier?
  17. are you sure its your line?
  18. Hey, thanks for all the info, i'll get a pic of them when I get home today.. Yea, I'm on the fence about changing the calipers out.. I figured I could since I was gonna be doing brakes, but then again, if it aint broke.. don't fix it lol.. Alright, I'll take a look, thank you!
  19. So I'm probably gonna do my front brakes next weekend, however, whenever looking for brake sets (brake pads and rotors together in a kit) only ones I can find are for 4WD.. Can I use a 4WD set on my vehicle or do I have to find the 2WD set? It's not a big deal, just figured if I could save money by buying a set I would, but then again I can piece it out if needed. Should I go ahead and replace the calipers too? Or no? Vehicle specs 91' 2.5
  20. I think its different, I'm talking about the thermostat housing, it holds the thermostat and coolant temp sensor. Was looking around and a 5/16-18 3/4" seems to be the fit. Thank you though!
  21. So I lost a bolt.. I was changing the thermostat on my 91 2.5, lost the bottom bolt to the thermostat housing.. any ideas what size/kind it is?
  22. I'm assuming thats what I did, but basically I disconnected the positive wires on the battery, grounded them to a reliable ground wire for 30 seconds. After that, I reconnected the positive wires to the battery. Got in the truck, turned the key on (but didn't start the vehicle). Turned my headlights on, turned the headlights off, then turned the key off. Waited 10 seconds or so, started the truck and everything worked like a charm after that.
  23. dude, you have no idea, i thought I was gonna have to carpool to work tomorrow.. and that means I wouldn't have any of my tools or anything.. would have been rough. where there is a will, there is a way lmao
  24. hey, think i fixed the problem just in case anyone ever has this issue... So here's the whole story.. Yesterday on my way home from work, the check engine light came on, so when I got home, I read the codes and I had a 12, 33, 41, and 17. 12 and 33 aren't an issue but 41 has to with the alternator, so i had it tested and sure enough, it was going out on me. 17 has to do with the thermostat. So I bought a new alternator and thermostat. When I put the new alternator on, the 17 code disappered, but it changed into a "22" so I took the thermostat back and bought a coolant temp sensor. Installed it in the parking lot and on the way home I felt the idle was WAYY too high when I was in neutral. So I figured it was the IAC valve, took that off cleaned it up, cleaned the TB while I was at it. Didn't fix my issue. Actually my issue worsened.. My truck wouldn't start.. I was thrown for a loop. I figured it had to be the the TPS or IAC at this point.. HAS to be right? Before I went and bought a new tps and iac, I figured I'd give a shot in the dark and reset my ECU.. Whatever it did, my truck is running good again. I'm guessing when installing new sensors, you want to make sure you have to battery disconnected, or reset it directly after a fresh installment. Hope this helps someone..
