I have a 2.5L, 86 Mj with non A.C.. I also have an 89 Xj with a 4.0 as a parrts truck. Will the pulleys and brackets, (A.C. and Alternator) on the 4.0, work on my 2.5L? Why not swap the engine 2.5L for a 4.0 as you might say? :dunno: The 4.0 has a blown head gasket and I want to leave my 86 basically stock. :smart:

I'm mainly concern that I might have a blown head gasket. The truck has been sitting for a while now and i would like, OOPs, MY WIFE wants it running soon so she can drive it. So if I get good compression on it, next is an open radiator system. Please hold your tounge. I have heard the good the bad and the ugly on open and closed systems. And also I'm going to change out the ABS :ack: system on it to a non ABS :ack: system. -
Well I'm 6'5" and I can see the grill of my truck. So I need something a lil lower.

I have installed some bucket seats from a 4 door xj. Now I wish that I didnt buy them. Because they don't tilt forward. What jeep models and years fit? What other make trucks or cars fit?

On a compression test for a 1990 with a 4.0 with 150,000 miles?

Is there any aftermarket companys that sell a clutch brake gas assembly for my 86? Or what years and other models can I use? Or what can I do to fix mine? bushings? The reason is I think I bent mine. :wall:

Thanks but my tranny views are different. I can't see my clutch fork because its inside the tranny. ill try to post a pic.

I'm still having problems with my clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder. I bled the system per the instructions in the Haynes repair manual, but still no worky. I have reinstalled the external slave on my ax5 tranny. But the clutch pedal is rock hard and "won't" move at all. Does anyone have an exploded view of the external slave unit and how or what it pushes on in the clutch area?
-
Scarry thing is that My wife is looking forward to the trip in the MJ. But I'm trying to get it back on the road after changeing out the clutch master.
-
My clutch master cylinder was leaking so I went ahead and changed it out with a new one. According to the Haynes manual, it says that first I remove the external slave cylinder, insert a socket and a c clamp then bleed the system like brakes. 1. Do I really have to remove the slave cylinder to bleed it? Or can I just bleed it with it installed and NOT remove it. 2. If I have to remove the slave cylinder, how do you remove the top nut that is close to the transmission hump? I can't get a socket or a standard wrench on it.
