  1. I was just wondering whats in the vin#? Like buid dates, engine size, color, build #, etc...
  2. I believe that the two wires are;positive from your batterey and negetive for a ground wire. And thats all you would need. I would find out what wire (color) that goes to your liter now, if its positive then run a ground and then you would be ok. If you need a positive lead you can go off of your radio or some other power sorce. hope this helps.
  3. Cool, thank you all for your Help.
  4. Today I went to the pick a part and found a fog lite switch from an 89 cherokee. Got home and pulled apart the dash and found aplug for that switch. My question is if this is pre wired for fog lites, where can I find the wires for the fog lites at the front bumper? :wavey:
  5. thanks for the tip. ill check on the o2 tommorow.
  6. On the lil sticker under the hood says the timing is not adjustable. Is this true? Also It smells like my truck runs a lil rich too. How or what can fix this? I have changed the fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and air filter.
  7. Here is my newused 86 Comanche. I believe its 100% stock, except for tires. I don't know if the push bar is factory, but I like it. When I got it I drove to an autoparts to get oil and power steering fluid and then took these photos. The windows were left down for unknown reasons, so the interior is really dirty. 8. What can I do to my 86 comanche 2.5 to get better fuel millage? Besides droping a 4.0 in it. Do they make aftermarket headers for it? What have YOU 2.5 owners done to yours?
  9. The part numbers listed in the link for the oil pressure and temp, would they work on a 2.5 as well?
  10. 2.5l in line 4 thanks for the b-day wish :D
  11. Well I will be joing the Comanche tribe officially on my birthday. I'm picking up a 1986 Comanche tomorrow. So then what grade of diff oil should I get, also Tranny oil (5speed)? Spark plugs work the best? Any other thing that I should know that would be helpfull. Thanks. P.S. Pics coming soon.
  12. So what would be better for fuel economy? 4.10 or 3.55?
  13. Um why is it a benefit to have 4.10 gears? :dunno:
  14. Yea that would be cool, but I would rather have this, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes ... 06.c0.m245 Put a flat bed on the back with a crane from a line mans truck and go into my own buisness, doing 4x4 off road recovery. The crane is to recover 4x4 that have gone over the edge. :chillin:

My name is Mike and I live here in Central California. This is my first post and just saying hi. I don't have a Comanche yet but I have been looking at a 1986 Comanche, 4x4, 5 speed with a 2.5 4 banger, with 89000 miles. It needs some major TLC, aparently it hasnt seeen an oil change for 3 plus years, so I'm wondering what the rest is like. What I do know that it starts and drives ok. What it needs: 1. Power steering pump (frozen Bearing) 2. All flluid change 3. Brake work (spunge pedal) 4. Tune up 5. etc... The owner of it now has had it for three years or so and bought it from I believe the original owner. THis guy want's $1000.00 for it and I offered $800.00. So we will see. I curently have a 1990 Cherokee limited, 4.0, automatic, 4x4, with that crapy ABS brake system. (wifes old car) A 1993 Chevy S-10 extra cab, 4.3, 2x4. A 2000 all custom Ford Focus ZX3, show car with trophys to prove it. This is my asphalt mountain twisty road car (no dirt). A 2005 KIA spectra (wifes car). And a 1961 ford falcon pickup, 100% un restored. I will be asking some questions about the comanche. So I hope you don't mind. Look forward to chatting with you soon. Mike
