I covered it until it sounded like it was idling normally, then let go and it stayed there. if i would have kept covering it it was gonna shut off on me.

it runs normal now.

OK i unhooked the airfiler tube from the box and held my hand over the tube, to try to slow down the rpms and it went back down to idlespeed and i took my hand off and its running at idle speed. i figure it just super dirty. :roll: . I'm gonna buy a new fuel filter, some carb cleaner, and trottle boy cleaner tomorrow. I'm just happy it runs good again.

i've had plans on replacing it, their like 60 bucks at nappa

its real smooth. yea. and my oxygen sensor is busted. its been saying "emmis mait" since i bought the truck. i knwo how to fix that tho.

@james when i first got it running it smoked up for about 3 minutes now it hasnt smoekd at all, i think it just flushed all the $#!& out of them.

@pete i would do that but i never took the tube off before, and i doubt its ever been taken off. the screw are like welded on there. :mad:

I think your right, i unplugged the ISC, then started it and nothing changed. Ill buy some today.

Nothings sticking, i can tell by looking the throttles not even being pulled. Starter fluid went into the intake.

I put it in drive and it started spinnin the tires. scared the $#!& out of me because my house was just feet away.

Trucks runnning now but its at, id say 3100 rpm. I think this mught be the starter fluid i put in the intake am i right?

I just wanted to say thank to all you guys, no lie, if it wasnt for you guys id be @#$%ed. id still probably be messing stuff up. so thanks alot. shes running again nwo thanks to yous.

Think external Hard Drive... :smart: I learned the hard way one time too, but I bought an external and I do regular back-ups to it about once every two weeks. I have lost one computer since having the external and it was a snap to set up the new one because I lost nothing bu the time it took to set it all up again ;) . I have a PC & a laptop so I partitioned the external so I can back them both up on the same unit. 8) Try "Bit Defender". Ive used it your years and never had a problem. External HD is a win too tho.

i want to put bucket seats in it. theres a comanche at a junkyard near me, I'm gonna go swap the grey interior then take the seats.

its got the 4.0 HO. i hear doin a 4x4 swap costs more then the truck is worth. so I'm not sure.
