  2. but i was going to do powered xj seats...so it may be a little more difficult.. bc when i was in that cherokee the seat moved way up and if its in my comanche it may not have to move up as far for me to like it but i would still like power seats..or just the drivers seat haha
  3. well iam really short haha so i don't think i would have a problem with being to high in the seat.. so is it possible to have a powered 01 xj seat in my manche? would i have to drill other mounting holes?

  5. hey guys my sister has been looking for a new car lately..i went with her the other day and as she was lookin at something i noticed a red 01 cherokee..i opened it up and sat in it...iam not too tall so i looked to move the seat a little well this cherokee had power seats that went up down...forward backward and tipped up and down too...i was wondering if i could somehow put one of those seats in my comanche and still have power?

  8. well my power steering pump has leaked out all the fluid awhile ago and ive just been drivin without power steering pretty much....i wheeled without it and ill never do that again...so how hard is it to change a powersteering pump on a 4.0 comanche? ....are the pumps expensive??

  11. i was watching war of the worlds lastnight and noticed as tom cruise was trying to escape capture from the aliens..he hid in a white swb 2wd comanche....if it were 4x4 he prolly woulda got away :chillin: anyone else notice the comanche...or any others...oh i just rememberd there is a black one in the beggining of the movie small soldiers... it looked pretty good

  15. my manche is an 88 4.0 inline 6 what tranny is it np231? it won't go into 4th gear...is the sinc gear off?? or should i just get another one out of a tj or somethin
  16. well you probably wouldnt have to cut anything it just unclips and comes out as a whole harness with the bulb holders and all
  17. i found out my problem with my lights...atleasst my rear lights... the rear harness that plugs in right by the spare tire carrier...was melted into one giant wire....i finally got them seperated and for now i taped them back up...i have brake lights atleast...but i was wondering if anyone had that harness...or if they are sold anywhere??

  21. well ive decided to do a leafspring conversion in the front of my mj.. coil springs are a dumb design anyways...i have death wobble like crazy... i prolly won't be able to do the conversion for awhile but its gonna be worth it...

  23. i found what he told me when i asked about it on ebay.....here's what he told me... Let's be real clear on this point. This is not concept truck, or a pilot. It was a test truck, that actually went down the assembly line to test the fit of components prior to the actual year of production. Then it was used to test the durability of those existing components in the next year of its life. Then it was retired from service and then sold. This is what I was told by the Department Manager at Jeep Corp when I picked it up in Detroit at Chrysler Headquarters in 1988. I have a copy of the original bill of sale to the company who origanlly recieved it from Jeep Corp. I worked for those people 1988 to 1989 and subsequently bought the Comanche from them in about 1990. Believe what you want. This Jeep Comanche has a unique history. That is how I am advertising it.
