    Worth It?

I know it's worth way more than he's asking! I'm going to try to get it for sure. There is another one on CL right now going for 3500 and it's an 86. It's clean though!

    Worth It?

http://lewiston.craigslist.org/cto/4331249405.html It's 5 hours away from me but it looks to be in great condition! And it's got all black interior which is another plus. Opinions? ?
  5. Looking good! One of my favorite builds for sure! I may steal a few ideas for my cage when I do one;)
  6. I didn't even know that mattered! I think it will be ok??
  7. I think i saw that thread. It looks awesome though! I may end up doing something like this if i do a flat bed.
  8. Wow very diverse collection of cars you got there! Looking forward to your build!
  9. there is an 89 Comanche on CL for 500 bucks! I'm debating getting it and have it just as a clean DD once i get it fixed up, and ill sell the Cherokee...i regret selling my grey DD Comanche every time i get into my Cherokee haha. The goods about it: short bed, ax15, 4WD, no rust, clean body...the bad: 210000 miles, may need head gasket, and does need clutch. I figure even if i put 500 into it i have a nice Comanche for 1000 bucks. What do you guys think?? here is a link to it: http://twinfalls.craigslist.org/cto/4238027926.html ill of course keep the wheels/ tires from the Cherokee and throw them on the Manche.
  10. its a bit dirty but it should clean up nice. located in Boise ID. how about $40 shipped also.
  11. I have a grey one with the shift boot on it, it just needs the 4wd indicator thing. I'll get a pic up in a second
  12. So i got a 20 foot long piece of 1x6x1/4" steel for 80 bucks!! So I'm using it for rockers, after looking at it for a while i decided to go all out and do mini boat sides, which brings us to where I'm at now! I'm debating cutting even farther up and re doing my floor and everything while I'm at it. Here is pics of where it sits right now I have to cut out the pinch seam regardless of what I do to make get the clearance i gained from the rockers to make it worth it anyway. So that is where my problem.. any ideas???
  13. these axles have proven to be a major pain in the rear...they are off of a 77 f250 highboy. my problem is the calipers. when i bought them they didnt have calipers or pads so i ordered calipers and pads from rock auto...they didnt fit. so i contacted the guy i bought the axles from and he said calipers from and 80s f250 would work, so i returned the calipers i had and ordered some for an 88...they also don't work. i have gone to multiple parts stores locally and non of the pics of the calipers they stock look right...I'm hoping someone on here will have some knowledge about ford axles!! here's what I'm dealing with...if you know what calipers will work i would LOVE if you got a link of the calipers i need!! thanks!
  14. I really like that fender! I may have to copy that!
  15. Never mind...just noticed it is upside down haha. Good luck with the swap!
  16. You probably should have got a driver drop front axle...unless your putting a new transfer case in it.
  17. I probably could do it myself but I only have a 110 welder so building links and welding brackets to the axle worries me a bit. I'm a good welder, I just don't know if it's powerful enough! And I don't really want to buy a radius long arm kit to much. It's a possibility but I don't love radius arms much :P
  18. Are you keeping yours linked or doing leafs for the swap? I think I'm just going to do leafs in the front to keep it simple and they seem to work pretty well on other rigs. Another reason I am thinking of it is that the spring perches on my axle are the same width as my frame :D ...that and it will be significantly cheaper!
  19. Sadly its a low pinion :fs1: but its still going to work just fine!! I loaded and unloaded them with my engine hoist...and DAMN there heavy suckers! look how much it was sagging! getting the front end ready for new brakes and cleaning it up
  20. I actually had a rear Dana 60 out of a 77 dodge so I asked the guy of I could buy just the front axle and be said yes for 100 bucks, and when I got there he asked if I would take both of them, so I told him I didn't have enough cash on me so he offered to take both for 100 bucks! Then I sold my rear axle I already had for 75 so I basically paid 25 bucks for the axles :D I think that's a damn good deal! !
  21. There technically 3/4 ton..the rear is a Dana 60 and the front is a 44 but it is 8 lug and has the bigger hubs and stuff...and flat top knuckles which I may end up doing high steer on. I'll try to get pics up tonight I kinda spaced it before
