The young lady is not so sure of what she would like, and seeing as she didn't know Comanches existed 6 months ago, she hasn't really seen many of them out there to think about colour choices. So I figured I would come here and get some good ideas. The white, pink, and red camo is one I never would have though about, but a possibility she might like. The plum is also one I didn't think of, but a fine colour.

I bought a Comanche last winter for my daughter, and I'm looking for ideas on painting it. I have all sorts of cool ideas for doing a guy's rig, but this is for my girl...not me. :( Now, I'm not planning to go all "hot pink" or anything like that, but if anyone out there has some ideas for a cool looking young ladies ride, I'd like to hear them. Nothing too girlish, nothing too manly. Juuuust right. (clinically referred to by myself as "Goldilocks Syndrome")

Anyone? Or is there a power steering upgrade to be had out there, as mine will probably need replaced....

No one can really say unless you crawl under there and look, but please let us know what you find. Pictures always go good with beer, too. :)

Hi all, We're not looking to take members away, but rather offer another group of contacts to people who might be involved with Willys vehicles. If you know of someone who has a Willys in the Canadian Prairie area (or nearby, who knows with road trips these days), it would be appreciated if you could point them in that direction - they might just be looking for a part or even a Willys to buy....as there are a few over there for sale right now. http://www.antiquewillys.com/phpBB3/index.php I know there are a few Willys boards in the states, but between tossing snowballs at polar bears up here and building our next igloo.....we don't see very many people or Willys vehicles. We need all the help we can get. Thanks, Darcy PS. If the admin feel this is the type of post they should not have on this board, please feel free to delete. Thanks.

Making my first trip to the pick-your-butt type of junkyard.....got an 88 2wd MJ..... Just wondering what are the essential things I should be looking for, besides a 4x4 drivetrain?

Late post, but I think they're the same at -30, isn't it? Anyway, we had a string of -40 and below days, with wind chills on top here at the end of January. The Cummins Dodge wasn't happy bout going, even when plugged in. :)

I'm talking body only on the front.

Anyone?

Does anyone have a link to one of these? And can someone please tell me how in the $#$% does a search string of "97+ conversion" only bring up the word conversion????

I guess that would make sense....and for a lot of fab work.

Are you sure? How do you explain the rear does that aren't cut for the rear wheel wells like on a Cherokee? How exactly were those doors made?

Anyone have any ideas on how to do a quad cab Comanche? I've seen the usual Cheromanches, but I think it'd be real cool to do a quad cab full size comanche. I just can't wrap my head around the whole unibody problem.

That's okay.....I prefer to keep my rigs shiny-side up anyways.

Good to know, thanks.

Yeah, she'll be really pretty once I finish with it....

Cool....consider it grabbed in the next week or so. :)

I have an 88 long box Comanche, and found a free roll bar from an 88 dodge dakota....looks like this: Will it fit my truck? Or can it be modded easily to fit?

;) How's about the negative 30's? I grew up north of you in PEI.....you don't get temps as cold as we get out here, but you get the wind which we don;t....all evens out.

94 Cherokee - what all could I use?
dunl replied to dunl's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hmmm....too bad. Might be a running drivetrain for my Willys though, but it'd be better to find a YJ with 4.10 stock axles.... -

94 Cherokee - what all could I use?

Mainly what I was looking for was the 4wd. As for the 2.5 to the AX-15, I was searching for a Dakota bellhousing for that project. Might just do that in the Willys anyway. -
94 Cherokee - what all could I use?
dunl replied to dunl's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have 2.5 engine in the 88 Comanche, and there is a 4.0 in the Cherokee. I already have a spare AX-15 and 231 sitting around as well. The 2.5 in the Comanche isn't a problem, as it's from a 93 or 94 YJ, so it runs really strong. -
If I bought a 94 Cherokee for parts to use in my 2wd Comanche, what all could I use out of it? Basically everything except the suspension unless I mod the perches on the rear right?
