Bucket Seat "Skins" - Can you Wash em?
Rohls replied to SuperWade2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've got a bench seat....can you pull the cover off both the top and bottom WITHOUT removing the seat from the truck? How difficult is it to remove the covers and REINSTALL them...? 1 or 2 hour job? Thanks! -
H4 Conversion... Ipf, Hella, Cibie?
Rohls replied to Automan2164's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
So what HARNESS if any do I need to buy if I want to swap my stock headlights for the E-CODE Hellas above and some 80 or 100W bulbs? Which bulbs are the best...? How involved is swapping the harness? Thanx. -
No Bleed Nipples In The Front Brake Caliper...?
Rohls replied to Rohls's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Awesome! Thank you! PS---call me a noob, but how do I post images...? I see the link, but then URL....I don't know how to do that...Thanx!  . :MJ 1: . -
So ever since I've had my 92 MJ, the parking brake never really worked properly...it would ratchet all the way down to the floor, and 'kinda-sorta grab' at the very bottom. Never really concerened me because I have the 5-speed and just stick it in gear, but it's nice to have that added safety when parking on a hill, on if my brakes fail...(!) I tried adjusting the tension at the rear brakes, but I guess I never got it right. What's the proper procedure to adjust these? I also re[placed both the parking CABLES, thinking they were crappy...anywho... any help would be appreicated. Thanks!

I have a 92 Manche, and it seems to have little plugs for bulbs under the dash, and I even remember they have 12V going to them. I was reading in a nother thread how to hook these up via the door-jam switch....anyone know where I could find this post here? I've looked with no avail. Thanks.

No Bleed Nipples In The Front Brake Caliper...?
Rohls replied to Rohls's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sorry guys gor the late response. it's '92 and all stock down there, Its crazy, I removed the bleeder from one of the calipers completely. It is definitely sealed metal where I'd expect there to be a thru-hole. I don't get it. I really don't think they are speed bleeders (internal ball and sping). Like I mentioned before, I removed a good (90%) amount of the old fluid from the reservior via a suction pump, so it's beeter than it was. I can see why it probably hasn't been done it 20 years :) guess my best bet would be to exchange these for true bleeders..... **Anyone know where I can buy these online?** Thanks again! -
I know, I know...I don't like it either, but the time has come to ask about a noise that has been occuring for some time now... Most of the time, when i come to a halt, that is, cruising at 40 and slowly come to a stop, after I accelerate from the stop, no odd noise is heard...just thesound of a smooth 'manche pulling gears. SOME TIMES however the following happens....I'll be cruising at 55 plus, and have to come to more abrupt halt....likse pressing with medium force on the pedal. Once in a while when this happens, I will put the turck in gear and this 'dut dut dut dut' then 'nothing' sound will be heard. It's as if the calipers are sticking to the rotors under these circumstances... It's annoying...but if it's just my brakes, I can live with it...if it's my fron drive shaft....not so cool PLEASE TRY TO HELp :) Thank you.

Hi- just bled my brakes in the 'manche for the first time. Started in the rear, pulled fluid, everything okay. Moved to the front, and started pumping away (I have a homemade hand vacuum pump) and nothing was happening...tried the driver's side, and still nothing.... Frustrated, I pulled the bleed nipple all the way out, and fluid poured out...great... THE RUB IS I found out that the FRONT BLEED NIPPLES do not have a thru-hole. This is new to me WHAT GIVES? Someone please explain. I guess i am mising something, but how does one bleed their brakes without this again...? Thanks!

Thanks, those are the ones I'm thinking of, though I want the D-rings, and not the hooks...is the only way to do this is purchase both (the brackets from Rusty's and the above universal kit...?), Seems pricey ...might as well get a new bumper with d-ring mounts already there... Any other ideas...?

I just put 31" TOYO AT2s on my MJ...2.5" coil spacers up front and a 3" AAL in the rear...pretty happy with the results...BUT... Anyone done something similar and had issues with the inner fender plastic piece getting destroyed??? I think it was rubbung on it and cracked the sh*t out of it. He right one is half way missing now. And the fender flars seemed to rub just a touch, so I ground them down iwth a dremel...seemed to be fine untl today with some minor offroading, and i heard a zzzzzzzzZZZzzzz.. crap. I stopped and couldn't find anything that messed up, so continued on. what gives?

well, you got me there :) not sure how to upload pics I guess... It's the silver OEM wheel. I think Eastwood has some wheel paint I'll order up. Thanx.

Anybody know the stock wheel color or have a link where I can get some? I'm goin' give my wheels a spray and would like to match the 'silver' color pretty well. I have the 'D-block black plastic hub' 15" wheels. Just curious. Thanks!

Thanks guys. I'll give this a try and test out a few things. A little more poking around this site revealed some good info too. :MJ 1:

Hey there fellow MJ-ers, I've got a '92 Manche. Awesome. Someone broke or took out the switch or wires that power the door jam-to-dome light switch. I got the dome lights powered on (turn on when touched), WHAT WIRE SWITCHES them on when the doors are open?? I've got a pretty stock MJ. Also, what other light are supposed to turn on when the doors open? I HAVE replaced both door jam switched with new ones, but they don't seem to do much. Pictures or detailed description would be awesome....wiring diagram location? Thanks! nick :MJ 1:

Hi Guys, What's the best way to go on getting bucket seats into my MJ? I got a tired bench seat. I wouldn't mind buying the seats new...what will fit, look and function great, and is the most economical? Where do i get them from? I know I could rob a couple of worn out seat from a cherokee, but I'd like something fresh. Thanks!
