HOrnbrod Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 okay so, I've been searching around and I happened to find an ECU on ebay. It's from an MJ 5 speed 2.5 litre, but it's a 91 model, not an 86. I was wondering if this could possibly fit, or does it have to be the exact same year? any responses would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!Chris Nope, you need an ECU from a Renix MJ or XJ, 1990 or below w. the 2.5 and 5-speed to be compatible w. your rig.
mvusse Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 The differences are Renix or Chrysler (90 and older/91 and newer?), as well as auto/stick and possibly 2wd/4wd. Look at the model number on yours, I believe the last 4 digits need to be the same.
