Will these doors and seats work?

I found some SUPER nice bucket seats. They are in a 1992 Jeep Cherokee 4-door with the Laredo package. They all look dead on what you guys are swapping but the only thing that concerns me is that they are power.

I was looking at the doors as well which are also all power and have the wing window that opens which would be nice in my truck since it has no air.

So, my main question is... Will I be able to get all of the power options to work relatively easy in my 1988 MJ?

Thanks for anyone's help in advance.

Are all the seat frames alike? In other words, could I use the seats and find manual tracks from another pre-96 XJ and be good to go?

I normally wouldn't sweat it and just find something else, but, they're an exact color match and they are MINT MINT shape...

Like Pete said, XJ pedestals, manual or power, do not work well in an MJ - too high. Best bet is to find a pair of junkyard pedestals from an MJ w. bucket seats - easy bolt-in using the XJ seats. The brackets from an MJ w. the bench seat will work too, you just will not be able slide the passenger bucket seat. Power seats are basically useless in an MJ.

On the power windows, the two front doors will work on your MJ, just pull the complete door harness and cross body harness w. the doors and cut off the rear harness for the two rear doors. Cap off the wires of course. You'll just have to hook a 20A ing. switched circuit and a ground inside the left kick panel. But you will have a lot of unused window switches. :D

Oooo, maybe he could hook up the unused switches to something else? :brows:

And MJ bench pedestals are identical to MJ bucket pedestals. You'll just need to fab up an adapter to go between them and the XJ seats.

I think I'm gonna pass on the doors... It's not a pull and pay junk yard and I couldn't trust them enough to get the harness out properly. I don't really need power windows, it's just more electrical stuff to fix if something goes bad and to be frank, it's a crap shoot as to whether or not it is all in working condition right now. The only thing I really wanted to begin with was the wing windows.

I do however think I'm gonna spring for the buckets. They are pretty sharp and I'll just use the brackets off my bench seat. I've looked at every single junkyard (6 or so) and haven't found one MJ. Let alone, one with bucket seats. I did just realize that the 4-door seats could not be tilted forward... Is this going to be a huge PITA to deal with?

FYI, the wing windows are prone to leakage and whistling. Cool as they may be. :D

Whether or not you can deal with the seats not folding forward is entirely up to you. 2-door XJ seats do fold forward.
