No Spark

Guys, My MJ won't start.

 

Fuel is there. It cranks, but I put the timing light on the #1 wire and nothing is showing.

 

Recently pulled the dash and reinstalled. It fired up after I finished, now nothing.

 

Also, the aftermarket tach the PO installed now doesnt work. And it seemed like it went out before it stopped cranking.

 

 

What should I check?

check the CPS(crank position sensor) and also check your computer ground...may have knocked it loose when you put the dash back together

CPS was the culprit. Had a burned wire and the whole thing just looked like crap. Plugged the new one in, bolted it in, and it fired right up.

 

 

Chalk up another one for the CPS!
