info: jeeps always been hard to pull into 4wheel like the linkage was stuck so i WD40 it... nuetral jeep off easy to pull up now move into 4hi>2hi>4hi>2hi turn on jeep part time lamp is on... ¿que? so i back out thinking its just acting up and it stays on. i do a burn out. one skid.

take it to gravel lot try shifting through all t-case positions lamp still on.

burn out in 4lo 2 skids 4hi 2 skids try jeep on incline with front on pavement rear on gravel burns out slow to move DEFINATELY not in 4wheel

Probably... Put it in 4hi or lo and see if you can spin the front driveshaft freely. If you can't, your tcase is fine and it's the disco. In that case it sounds like the vacuum switch in the back of the tcase.

I'd just perma-lock it.

I AGREE!!

Its the DISCO not the T-case!! I believe www.GOJEEP.com has a write up on maitaince of this unit. Not hard, check the vacuum lines as well.

Check the pass side inner fender. Is there a little bracket with a blue thingie attached? It should have a wire or two and a air line into the bottom. This is your switch to turn the light on the dash for 4WD. If no, yours may be the wired version all on the disconect at the axle.

In any event, its most likely that your front axle is NOT disconnecting when the T-case is shifted out of 4WD. Annoying but not a huge deal if the front is still open.

Nope. No issues. It'll just make your front D/S spin all the time. Hopefull it's not bent or anything, because you'll know with it spinning...

I converted mine to a one-peice shaft. But that was because my new carrier (trutrac) wouldn't work with the two peice ones.
