GGosa
I have a 1990 Jeep Comanche Pioneer 4.0L Automatic Short Bed and I was wondering which interior pieces from the Cherokee will fit? I need to replace the door panels, pretty much the entire dash, seats, add a center console, etc. What will fit???
Boilermaker
I've used or tried to use the following from pre 96 XJs: door panels: Yes from a 4 door. (make sure if you have crank windows and manual locks, it has the same). Entire Dash: yes Seats: yes, see this DIY project. If its important to you to have the seat back to fold forward to access the back of the cab, you will need a seat from a 94 or earlier 2 door XJ. It has the same lever on the outside of the seat that allows the seatback to fold forward. Center Console: yes, see this DIY thread. A-pillar trim: the a-pillar trim from a 4 door will fit with some trimming. The trimmed area is toward the back of the cab and the cut is hidden by other trim panels. Kick Panels: Yes Headliner: not really Sun Visors: yes, some XJs have visors that cover all the way across. Some leave space in the middle for overhead consoles. Overhead console: yes with some major trimming. Our cabs do have the mounting holes for the front part of the console. Seatbelts: Not that i've been able to tell. Female Seatbelt receivers: yes Grab handles: yes I'm sure somebody will come along to correct me in a place or two and/or add to the list.

135Boom
Are there suppose to be plastic kick panels/covers covering the bottom parts of the bucket seats...like the metal brackets and such? I am missing those I think....??

I am missing those I think....?? My 91 had them. i don't remember if my 92 had them, but that the PO could have removed them. I'm also not sure if they are the same between XJs and MJs. I have a set from each somewhere, buried deep in box in a storage closet.
135Boom
cool, yeah, I tried a set from a 91 cherokee and they didnt fit....different floor I guess. Same damn seat it seems like though? If you have some for an MJ that are gray I'll buy them off you. Ive been lookin around for a while now. MJ's are hard to come by in the junk yard around here. Boilermaker
if i can get the power XJ tracks i have to work in my MJ, then i won't need the MJ trim any longer. Its a big if tho, its going to take some fab work. I plan to start a build thread one of these days...hopefully you'll see a post in there about working power seat tracks sometime this summer. If you are still looking for them, pm me and we'll work something out (btw, they are gray). I'd be happy to get them to someone who could use them. I know how hard it is to find trim pieces for the MJ...see my sig and notice the original post date of my wtb thread.
