azjeepfreak Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Looking at an '88 2.5L 4 Cyl. Anyone have any info on that? Pros, cons, major problems, etc...? I've dealt with several 4.0 I6's, but never this motor. The motor will be swapped out eventually, but that will be a ways down the road.
Pete M Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Pros: -Decent fuel economy -The 2.5L trucks can usually be had for much cheaper than 4.0L trucks. -as bullet-proof as the 4.0L Cons: lacking of horsepower. Keep the tire size down.
