Power surge

When I have the key on (not on acc), and the engine running or not, I get a little flash of the lights on the dash and when the truck is running, the fuel pump kicks off, just for a split second. It was even enough to kill the truck when I had it running (the battery was dead at that time, I had just unhooked the jumper cables but it ran for another 30 seconds). I thought it was the alternator, (I am going to replace it anyway) but it does this even with the engine off. any ideas?? :dunno: :???:

closer, the air compressor is in and plumbed, hooked up to the ARB. Will be getting bumpers as soon as the weather gets a little better.

Check the fuseble(sp?) links and the Ing switch. One other thing I thought about after talking with you would be the main connection at the firewal into the fuse block(just an out side shot)...andy
