TajMan
Someone is offering me stock 05 TJ Wrangler Rubicon front and rear bumpers for free if I want them. Anyone know about how much work might be involved for the front mainly to mod it and make it work on my Comanche? I was gonna weld up a bumper for myself from scratch anyway. mfpdm
It shouldn't be too difficult. All you would need to do is fab up a mount that would tie into you frame and go to the bumper mounting holes. The holes on the TJ bumper are about 2 inches different from the MJ frame width. Thing to consider though, the TJ bumpers are staight and will not contour to the curve of the MJ front. Also they are not to beefy. After all they are just flat stock that has been bent into a U. Since your getting both, you may consider using the material to fab up one for just the front. Just my .02.
TajMan
Nice lady giving me free Jeep stuff, I'll take them and just list them for sale on Craigslist for not much. I was gonna fab up a new front bumper from scratch anyway.
