I've seen a few ways that people have rigged parking brake cables onto a disc brake 8.8, here's my setup:

You'll need:

stock brake cables

brake cable ends for the 8.8 (came on mine)

a few inches of pipe (I think it's 5/8", I don't really remember)

2 washers with either a 1/2 or 9/16" hole

weld the washer to one end of the pipe, and use that to clip the stock cable into. don't forget to notch the end of the pipe so you can release the collars.

weld the ford loop end onto the end of your oem cable.

run your cable through the pipe and little bracket thingy on the ford rear

then weld the pipe onto the bracket where the ford cable once clipped in

lastly, I had to lengthen my adjuster, which may not be the case for everyone but I had to make it about 1/2" longer

pictures are worth 1000 words:

Or you can use the MJ stock cable and get 2 small cable clamps and just loop the stock cable and clamp it ;)

Works great, takes about 5 min. and cost under $2

I'd seen that, but I wasn't too stuck on the idea. Don't get me wrong, I rig up as much stuff as the next guy, but I like to go the extra yard on the parking brakes since I park on hills alot.
