thejum57 Posted yesterday at 08:28 PM Posted yesterday at 08:28 PM I am able to fit a 3/4" diameter hose about 34" down the filler pipe and there seems to be a dead end. When I pulled it out it was dry, there is a little over 3/4 of a tank of very old gas in there so if it made it into the tank it should have been wet. Can you feed a hose all the way into the tank? I really can't get under it to drop the tank ... those days are over for me. Is there any kind of "special" tubing that can be snaked all the way into the tank? Thanks !!
llhat Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago do not think a hose large enough can be sent down the tube... I tried couple years ago, only thing i could get to pass was a piece of 1/4" OD nylon tubing.... "maybe" take off the pump/pickup fitting and then siphon from that location.. that does require working 'under' the vehicle.... does your electric pump in the tank work? perhaps using it by bypassing the relays and accessing under the hood to pump it out...
