86 AX5 clutch fork

So which way does this fork go on the transmission? Higher side to the slave cylinder or to the pivot ball? Installed a used transmission with fork attached and after bleeding slave cylinder clutch will still not release. Maybe the fork was intstalled backwards... On my 86 MJ 2.8L AX5 4x4... Thanks for any help...

It should be labeled on the fork.  An arrow pointing and says “CLY” indicating the end is to the slave cylinder. 
 

But the higher end should be on the ball pivot.
