Geonovast
Truck never did it before I put the D30 on. It did it once after that, then was fine for the few months until the 4wd trans went in. About once every two weeks I'd say, I get a very, very loud pop/snapping noise when I turn. Sometimes I'm just turning a bit, other times it's a lot. I've double checked the new balljoints and bearings I put in. They seem fine. Any ideas? When the axle first went in, I replaced the axle side CA bolts with grade 8 bolts, but that caused a lot of clicking when braking(axle shifting). I put the original LCA bolts in, and rarely get any clicking from the top ones. Maybe it's a U-joint binding up? Only thing I can think of, and I really hope that's not it. TNT
check the lower Trackbar bolt....mine was backed off a bit and it was doing the same thing your describing x2 I have had the same problem a few times. Usually after wheeling it would start to happen. I replaced the stock bolt with a 10.9 hardness flange head bolt that used a normal socket, cranked it tight and never had it happen again. Geonovast
Awesome, I hope that's all it is. Paid $70 for the axle and had to sink over $300 in it already. I'll check that when I'm freezing my @$$ off popping the front axle off the blue truck tomorrow. Did Pat talk to you about that Tim?
