Salvagedcircuit Posted May 29 Posted May 29 I have been wrestling with the AMC panel alignment gods to finally get my comanche in paint-worthy state. However, the marker lights have been a weird one. I noticed the clone turning signal lights, marker lights, front fascia pieces etc.. have a terrible fitment with oem front panel pieces. I grabbed some used OEM marker lights but some have a yellow stripe towards the grill while others do not. Which is correct? did the style / paint line change over the 1984-1996 years?
eaglescout526 Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Oh hell in a hand basket. Ok I think this is manufacturer based. I once bought new ones for a member on here and one of the sides was orange. Like original orange. And the other was a brighter orange but not much brighter. As far as I recall, you can still get OEM but you might experience the same discrepancy. There’s probably some on eBay too. though you are on to something cause I’ve seen the HO years have a bit brighter yellow color for the markers but those new ones I mentioned were more orange. So it could be sun fading that we’ve seen. Part numbers are 56000110 and 111 if you want to look on eBay for orange ones.
Salvagedcircuit Posted June 7 Author Posted June 7 Looking over this some more, it looks like this may have been a highlight / reflective stripe that faded on the marker shown in my comanche.
