Evaporator coil help

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, my guy that works in my Comanche is in the process of replacing my evaporator coil and is running into an issue. We have purchased 2 new evaporator coils ( one from rock auto and one from somewhere else) and he says the lines don’t fit right in the box. Can anyone tell me where I can get one like an oem style. He was saying something to me about the new lines are straight up and down and the oem style has one at a 45 or something. Can guys chime in on any suggestions or where I can get a coil for an 87 4x4 4.0. Thanks guys I appreciate any feedback and help. I posted a couple pictures of what he is dealing with.

From the pics, I see that there is rotation of the lines that connect to the TXV, try installing the TXV to the new evap and see if you can manage to hook up the hoses to it coming out of the fire wall. I really looks like it would work from the view of the pics...
